Look at Database results, document and able to validate test results. Helpful for someone to understand Maine tax form - software is complicated and handles tax and financial calculations. Software (Merits) was converted from COBOL to Java - need to understand the flow of the application • Plans, constructs and executes tests and integrates with release control process • Identifies and document discrepancies. • Present as needed to the Steering Committee • Coordinates and executes testing activities with the test team, application team and project manager • Develops and communicates accurate and useful team status updates • Anticipates and resolves issues specific to the team. • Work directly with end users. • Works with test team members to enhance testing skills and build technical and business knowledge. • Determines time estimates and schedule for work efforts • Develop matrix & assign them out • Must have excellent communication skills • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently • Strong organization and writing skills EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Desired candidate will have worked both as a SW Tester and a BA; with testing being their strongest asset • Understands business process model; creating workflows • Functional requirements - describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business requirements • Developing User (stakeholder) requirements - are a very important part of the deliverables, the needs of the stakeholders will have to be correctly interpreted. This deliverable can also reflect how the product will be designed, developed, and define how test cases must be formulated. • Experience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners and runtime parameters.
