Job Title: Sr. SAP SD variant Configuration Consultant Duration: 6+ Months Location: Houston, TX * Required Skills:* *SAP SD Variant Configuration - 5 years required * *Qualifications:* The candidate for the above-captioned position should exhibit the following requirements:- · Deep hands-on VC model building experience within a complex manufacturing environment- 6-8+ years and 2+ full cycle implementations. · Expertise in Order BOM and Engineering Change Management (ECM) is very helpful. · Has deep functional understanding of SAP Variant Configuration software, best practices, and relevant cross-functional knowledge of SD, MM, PP, FI/CO SAP modules and the integration points with VC. · Help design product model architecture to ensure best balance of maintainability, scalability, and system performance. · Work closely with offshore VC product modeling teams to ensure alignment. · Facilitate business process and master data alignment with SAP best practices for VC. · Gather, validate, and document VC product model specifications from product experts at business units. Efforts include interviewing experts and facilitating requirements workshops; ability to translate those requirements into a finished SAP product model. · Thorough cycle testing; unit testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. · Assist team members and business users with problem solving related to the software application, performance and usage. · Provide functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports to support VC business requirements and/or legacy applications. · Ability to ensure strong alignment between the business requirements/needs and the application solutions/services. Project Scope: The scope of the current project is to : · Map these product lines into SAP as configurable products to using SAP delivered variant configuration functionality to be used in SAP quotations and subsequent order-to- cash process. · 12 product lines from wellhead division are considered in scope. · Enable SAP Variant pricing for these products in the system · Make adjustments in the SAP PP to enable the processing of these products as standard ATO (assemble-to-order) scenario with for hard allocations against sales orders as Sales order stock. · Enable the Sales team to be able to create quotations for these products by choosing desired features and values – on a smart device – using SAP FIORI/HTML5 technology. · Providing the functionality to Sales Team to get these quotations approved and convert these quotes to order using Smart Device SAP ECC Functional Scope: · Design, Develop and Configure SAP Variant configuration quotation and order management process for the products under scope including variant pricing.1 · 2 product lines from wellhead division are considered in scope , each having around 7-8 characteristics. · Make changes in the existing configuration to enable creation of SAP production order for these Variant Assemblies resulting in Sales order stock SAP ECC Technical Scope · Make changes in the customer facing out puts (quotation, sales order, shipping document and invoices) to accommodate new products under scope. · Estimation is about 3 forms · Adjustment to existing custom reports . · We have estimated 4 such objects. · Implement a 4 level quotation approval process in ECC using SAP delivered workflow functionality. · This is considered for quotation process only.
