Duration: 3 Months Contract *Rate: $40/hr On C2C MAX.* *F2F is required after a phone screen.* *Discription:* This is a Mainframe Test Analyst position. *Skills in:* DB2 IMS (a plus) CICS JCL Cobol Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Deliver quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Design, write and edit test plans to ensure software functions as designed. Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst. Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues and attend walkthroughs and attend signoff meetings. Serve as a coach and mentor to the department staff regarding how to develop and execute a test plan. Serve as a process improvement leader for the QA department. Responsible for identifying areas for improvements, implementing process improvements and ensuring long term compliance. Partner with team to prepare comprehensive QA test strategy, estimates as well as the implementation for phases of projects. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 5 years of IT work experience. Testing background and hands on experience with test tools (TSO, File-Aid, Mercury Interactive). Experience in Health Insurance industry, especially with claims processing (ITS), is a huge plus.
