Must Have: Search Engine Optimization and UX



Team is looking for top talent to help critical UX layer development
responsibilities including best industry practices in delivery performant,
highly transactional Consumer and support web applications

Expert knowledge in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, LESS and JavaScript
frameworks: AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, Ember, etc (one of the major
JavaScript MV* frameworks)

Experience in JavaScript compiled languages: CoffeeScript, TypeScript,
Dart, Closure, etc

Experience preferred in jQuery, Bootstrap - Must have very good experience
with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET

JavaScript build and test automation experience: Grunt, Karma, etc - Expert
in responsive/adaptive design for large scale websites

Experience working on Mobile or Tablet Development is required (responsive)

Knowledge of the user-centered design process, information architecture,
and usability principles

Strong knowledge of web standards and semantic coding practices -
Understanding of performance engineering principles

Development using Agile development methodologies - Development for and
testing against multiple browser, multiple platform environments

Development environments such as Microsoft Team Foundation, Visual Studio,
etc is strongly preferred

Must have excellent communication skills

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *

· The UI Developer operates effectively as a member of the User
Experience team

· Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and
in high quality

· Responsible for the development of web applications and components

· Effectively develops in a clean, well structured, easily
maintainable format

· Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate

*JOB QUALIFICATIONS *

· Education Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Web Interface Design,
or comparable professional experience required.

· Experience in designing, marking up, developing the UI of
websites and/or web applications

· Minimum of 3 years of web development and UI development
experience is required

· Front-end skills and some basic understanding of how back-end
development works

· Solid markup skills utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

· Practical exposure and/or experience with: Angular JS; Styling
CSS, SASS

· Solid understanding of UX and UI design with an emphasis on
maximizing usability

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative,
flexible and an Agile, .NET development, team-oriented environment that the
teams (not this person) are developing multi-tier SaaS products with
web-based, plugin-based, mobile-based clients on the Microsoft
HTM5/JS/C#/.NET/SQL Server technology stack

· A portfolio that demonstrates innovation and proven record of
design success across multiple platforms

The Security Systems business unit is looking for a Windows Presentation
Foundation (WPF) User Interface Software Developer in Carrollton, TX. In
this role the ideal candidate will be working on the security projects
software team focusing on projects that involve the security of critical
infrastructure such as Nuclear Power Plants. The team is developing a new
system user interface using WPF and PRISM.

The candidate will be expected to follow the company's software engineering
process in developing software solutions for the Advanced Information
Management (AIM) Security platform.

In your role as a software developer, you will be responsible for:

- All software activities associated with the design, coding, and testing
of new software.
- Perform Software functions as governed by our software engineering
process.
- Work with Project Manager/Project Engineering/Customer to facilitate
completion of the project.
- Acquire knowledge of Rockwell Collins ARINC related products and services.
- Apply all required business processes to perform essential job duties and
responsibilities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Establish effective communications and working relationships with project
and/or department customers, team members, and management.
- Meet project schedule deadlines and within budget.

Required Experience:

- Three (3) or more years of work experience with WPF in C#.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.

Desired Experience:

- Microsoft Visual Studio Blend.
- UI development using PRISM.
- One or more years using any of the following technologies:
o Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
o Windows Workflow (WF)
o Entity Framework with Oracle or SQL Server
