We are looking for *Lead Java Backend Developer *for one of our client at *Oakland, CA*. Please let me know your interest. *Lead Java Backend Developer* *Location: Oakland, CA (Contract)* *Duration: 6 to 12 months* *Must be strong in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE (CMP or JMS), SQL programming, optimizing SQL and performance tuning of complex SQL Queries. These are all required. We would prefer candidates who are certified as a Java programmer and/or Database developer.* *Job Description:* Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software using our Client’s coding practices and methods. Code will be written to accurately reflect written specifications supplied as part of each software project. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work as a resource to deliver critically important and or high impact items. You will work directly with many different teams including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Professional Services. You will also play a major role in code review, and eventually grow your experience to the point of being an expert resource for deep knowledge of an area of the system. You will report to the development manager. *Requirements:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or related field; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement · 10+ software development experience, including core enterprise business applications · In-depth knowledge of Java programming language and J2EE architecture (CMP/JMS) · Superior knowledge of SQL, including complex multi-table queries · Understanding of logical database design and physical database structures · Strong knowledge and experience of RDBMS, especially tuning of complex database queries · Understanding of complex multi-user issues, concurrency and transaction management · Advanced knowledge of key standard development tools: Eclipse, UML modeling tools · Working knowledge of other standard development tools: Clear Quest, Clear Case · Knowledge of analysis, design and implementation disciplines in RUP and of overall iterative software development lifecycle · Demonstrable understanding of OO software design · The ability to interact with external and internal clients · Ability to work as part of a team working towards a common goal · Strong team player with flexible attitude · Well organized and professional · Good analytical skills and attention to detail *Preferred Experience* · Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 or higher · Working knowledge of application servers (JBoss, WebSphere), including configuration, monitoring and tuning · Experience with various open source tools and projects, such as ANT, Maven, CXF, Spring, Hibernate · Experience with ESBs, rules engines, and/or BPMN engines · Experience in Flash and/or Flex development · Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to present designs, and facilitate design discussions · Insurance software experience, specifically Workers Compensation preferred *Thanks & Regards* *Dev Chauhan* *International Technical Solutions (ITS)* D: 206-497-5925, 206-274-4684 F: 206-319-4579 dev.chau...@i-tecsol.com <himanshu.kak...@i-tecsol.com> Note: We respect your Online Privacy.
