Serve as Subject Mater Expert on ETL, Performance Tuning, Optimization, SQL, Database Schema, and Data Modeling. Provide senior-level expertise for ETL development, data mining, database design, data modeling, reporting & analysis. Must have good understanding of logical, physical data models and metadata concepts. Very good exposure to data modeling concepts - Relational design (E/R). Should have experience in performance tuning and other design considerations for large data warehouse implementations. Hands on Pentaho ETL experience is required, any experience with Java is a huge plus. *Additional Technical Skills:* 1. Experience analyzing and working with relational and dimensional modeling 2. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. 3. Experience in incorporating best practices from the industry in streamlining database framework. 4. ETL design skills in an operational system capacity 5. Proven ability to provide strong problem solving skills. 6. Ability to analyze complex applications and systems. 7. Exposure to Agile (TDD) methodology 8. Experience working in complex Java/J2EE software development environments a plus 9. Experienced in large Enterprise Data Warehouse projects. 10. Experience in a Cable, Telecom, or a Media company a plus 11.
