*Job title*: Business Analyst with SOA/Web services

*Job description* :
· Collaborate with Account project managers, architects and
technical leads to establish functional scope and boundary for new proposed
services and utilities.
· Write system-level requirements per the selected methodology –
functional process models, user stories, software requirement
specifications – or provide peer reviews when other staff are writing them,
provide tasks and day-to-day support to others on the analyst team.
· Identify and coordinate meetings with Subject Matter Experts and
potential consumers to gather and validate requirements.
· Collaborate with project managers and technical staff to gather
non-functional requirements and document them per the methodology standards.
· Maintain metadata for existing services using enterprise tools
such as Oracle Enterprise Repository.
· Work in a self-directed liaison role with frequent interactions
with business customers and development and testing teams.
· Demonstrated success supporting multiple projects, involving
multiple systems, possibly on multiple platforms.
· Juggle multiple projects, initiatives, and daily activities while
ensuring the final product meets customer's expectations within the defined
Requirement Standards.
· Analyze relational data with SQL; ability to quickly understand
existing data stores and to create and validate source/target mappings and
transformation logic.
*Basic Requirements:*
· Write system-level requirements per the selected methodology –
functional process models, user stories, software requirement
specifications – or provide peer reviews when other staff are writing them,
provide tasks and day-to-day support to others on the analyst team.
· Manage requirements for a portfolio of projects with variations
in methodology – agile and waterfall; utilize DOORS to create new modules,
create baselines and create links for traceability.
· Methodology experience – demonstrate flexibility to work under
different project methodologies ranging from waterfall to agile.
· Ability to apply change management process and support fast-paced
issue identification and resolution.
· Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and
service design concepts.
· 5-7 years’ experience in Systems/Data Analysis and Requirements
development, Minimum 5+ years of experience in eliciting and documenting
detailed system requirements, with 2+ years focused on service requirements.
· Minimum 2+ years of experience working with XML schema
definitions and documents – must be able to review and generate
input/output mappings in the form of x-paths and to validate XML document
content against mappings.
· Excellent analytical, comprehension, communication, writing, and
interpersonal skills, Innovative in proposing solutions.
*Preferred Skills:*
· Good Understanding of Web services is desired.
· Good understanding of XSL, X-Queries is a plus.
· Mortgage industry experience a plus.
· Experience with BPM tools is desired.
