*DURATION: No less than five months * *LOCATION: Torrance, CA* *INTERVIEW MODE: * *1. **Phone* *2. **In-person(F2F)* *JOB DESCRIPTION: **PROJECT SUMMARY* The candidate is evaluated on his/her ability to interface professionally with project teams, identify and analyze quality risks, determine the test approach, determine test project scope, prepare time estimates, facilitate and manage the project testing schedule, prepare and facilitate the implementation of test plans, and manage the outsource testing vendors. *SKILLS REQUIRED:* · 10+ years’ experience in the performance analysis or performance engineering field · Must possess a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, web services, distributed and mainframe databases, mainframe and messaging layers. · Must be familiar with real-time, user-facing testing methodologies and approaches. · Must be familiar with batch or background testing methodologies and approaches. · Must also have a strong understanding of the monitoring solutions and KPIs used to determine used to determine availability and performance of these technology stacks · Must be able to create and validate load test scripts in at least two or more of the following protocols: HTTP, SOAP, AJAX Click and Script, ODBC, Terminal Emulator, Visual Basic, .NET and Java · Must be able to perform in-depth analysis of load tests both in real-time during test execution and in post-run review to determine test validity, discover the root-cause of any failures, and report on any performance issues or defects. · Must demonstrate or possess strong experience in: o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. o Reviewing supplier deliverables and providing feedback and direction o Assessing risk to schedule, cost, or quality on project and testing engagement o Preparing and managing the project testing schedule o Preparing and facilitating the implementation of test plans o Managing defects o Ability to react to changing project plans and come up with creative alternatives o Organizational and planning skills o Analytical skills o Ability to work in a collaborative “team-oriented” environment o Using and implementing best practice programs with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modeling tools and statistical analysis *SKILLS DESIRED:* · Should possess an understanding of software development and implementation methodologies including waterfall and agile · Should understand the challenges and strategies to effectively implement performance testing in an agile development environment. · Should have some experience in mainframe and distributed application performance testing · Familiarity and/or hands-on experience in the following technologies: o Operating System: Windows 2000 / 2003 Server, Red Hat Linux. o J2EE Application Server: IBM WebSphere XD/ND o Database: IBM DB2 distributed and mainframe v9.x, SQL Server 2005+ *RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Monitor and manage multiple performance test team progress.
