*I just spoke to the hiring manager and I wanted to update you.  I attached
the technology stack for your information.  Seeking Lead level java
developer with heavy knowledge with  Spring, Hibernate & Rest.  Also he
will take an H1 but they must have great communication. . He only wants
candidates that have been in a lead role for at least 2 years b/c they are
in charge of this project and will need to pull developers in on this
project and assist them.  This person will road map the project, design the
code and drive the effort, it’s a very visible role so he needs a senior
level person. *



*Project is migrating Quote-To-Go off old mainframe tech stack and moving
to Universe stack on micro services.*



*Agile is not a must but must have knowledge of it and a passion to learn*





Need for an experienced Technical Lead Developer with 3-5 years of proven
lead experience with team of developers in migrating old technologies to
new.



They will be expected to lead and develop 80+% of their time during the
migrating of the technologies.



In 2017, we need to migrate Quotes-to-Go from 2007 tech with Java7, JSP,
JSF, EJB, SOAP, Monolith to Java8, Spring*, Angular, REST, Micro-Services.





*Position Summary**:*

Under minimal supervision, formulates and defines system scope and
objectives through research and fact-finding, documentation, coding and
testing required to develop or modify moderately complex information
systems.   Performs at the highest technical level of all phases of systems
analysis and programming activities.  Provides guidance for other team
members. Demonstrates thorough understanding of the business/function for
which applications are designed.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:*

   - Identifies, analyzes, and documents business/technical requirements
   and systems specifications. Provides technical knowledge and ability to
   architect solutions by mapping product requirements and business problems
   to technology solutions.
   - Performs software coding, develops and executes software test plans,
   implements/deploys information systems, and coordinates efforts among
   several developers during systems development process.
   - Evaluates vendors and vendor-supplied applications and
   deploys/integrates vendor-supplied software.
   - Generates suggestions for process/product improvement. Communicates
   status of assigned work to management and follows practices and procedures
   covered by precedents, standards, or policies.
   - Develops an awareness of systems and operating area interrelationships.
   - Maintains knowledge of current technology and software design trends
   and best practices. Leads team of developers and assists in the development
   of programmers/analysts through coaching and training.
   - Ensures the efficient development of effective information systems
   through a variety of duties including projection of budgetary constraints,
   generation/presentation of users’ training material, and expansion of
   personal knowledge of applicable technical platforms and applications.
   - Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications**:*

*Education, License or Certification: *

·         Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems discipline, or
related fields; or, an equivalent combination of education and relevant
business experience.

*Experience: *

·         7-10 years’ experience in IS development/support

·         Seven or more years of experience in Java development.

·         Proficiency in applicable software development tools, standards,
and methodologies including familiarity with Software Quality Assurance
tools.

*Skills and Competencies: *

·           *Functional Expertise: *Exercises independent judgment and
applies in-depth knowledge and expertise to solve complex/technical
problems across work groups; accountable for developing and recommending
solutions.

·           *Technology: *Proficient in using multiple software programs
and web-based applications such as e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite products,
internet browsers, etc.
