Responsibilities -

Brief description of job: Hadoop Admin

1.Work as a Hadoop admin for 3 yrs or more with 2 years of
hortonworks
administration skills in a large cluster

2.Strong hands on skills to install, configure, performance
tune, developer and on call support of Hadoop platform

3.Administer a platform with Kerberos

4.Setup and support day to day operations for hive, hbase,
knox, ranger, spark.

5.Strong ETL background is a plus

Job Title: Hadoop Admin

Location: Woonsocket RI

Rate: $60/hr. on C2C All Inclusive



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 · Hadoop administration  maintenance to support the business
needs and strategic direction

· Support the Retail and PBM side of the business

· Comply to CVS standards

 Required Skills:

· Excellent skills in Hadoop technology and administration

· Excellent skills in  Linux operating systems, preferably as an
administrator

· Experience working with other major RDBMS systems, especially
Oracle, Teradata, DB2, and SqlServer

· Exhibit  thorough understanding of windows

· Exhibit  thorough understanding of storage configurations such as
RAID, NAS, DASD and SAN

· Familiarity with business intelligence and data warehousing
development processes and techniques.

· Understanding of the software development lifecycle

· Has strong collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects
of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills

· Ability to guide, lead, mentor and facilitate collaboration among
team members

· Be able to document where appropriate

· Participation in a team atmosphere and working well with others.

· Demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving
issues in order to deliver quality projects on time and within budget

· Exhibits a high energy, strategic thinking, results oriented, and
global collaborative approach.

· Experience in retail and pharmacy benefit management (PBM)
businesses is a plus

 EDUCATION:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering,
Computer Information Systems, or related field with minimum 8-12 total
years professional

· Minimum of 2-4 years of focused concentration in Hadoop
technology/administration
