* Position : Mainframe Migration Expert * *Location : Dublin, OH * *Duration : 12+ Months Phone then Face to Face * *Job Description:* Details: 1) What does the mainframe configuration look like a. Operating System (MVS, VSE, VM etc.) z/OS 1.13 b. Transaction processing software (CICS) CICS V3.2 c. Data base (DB2, Oracle, etc.) DB2 V9.1 d. Applications (what language are they written in) Assembler, Cobol, C, PL/I e. What is the hardware (system z, 390, 4300) IBM z114 / currently housed on 170 MIP mainframe f. How much storage and what does it look like (?TB/PB, DS/8x/XIV, etc) 3.5TB storage on 3390-3 and 3390-9 volumes; everything but system volumes is SMS-managed. 2) What does the target system consist of a. What is the hardware (IBM Power, Intel – HP/Lenovo/Dell) Cisco UC C220 blades (Intel) /VCE Vblock b. What operating system (AIX, Linux, MSFT, RedHat) RHEL V6 on VMware c. Storage requirements (size and type – V7000?) Target system will be on XTREMIO SSD drives d. HyperV, VMWare, FSM VMware e.
