*Hi * *Please lookup the below position and if you feel comfortable ,then please send me your updated resume* * Position : Storage System Administrator (NetApp)* *Location : Tallahassee, FL Duration : 12+ Months Phone / Skype * *Job Description* · Our client is seeking Systems Administrator to handle all aspects of the support for the remote monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting of a remote Disaster Recovery site, as well as to assist with other IT-related initiates. Areas of knowledge and responsibility include, but are not limited to: support and administration of onsite and remote systems (Windows Server 2003 and higher, HPUX, Solaris and Linux), virtualization technologies (VMware), storage backup infrastructure (NetApp, Avamar, Veritas Netbackup, HP Data Protector), redundancy and high availability, and site-to-site replication. Preference will be given to those with familiarity with core network services (DNS, WINS, and DHCP), server and database replication, and disaster recovery. *Job Responsibilities* · Possess and maintain strong Windows, Open Systems, and NetApp expertise as required to ensure the health, availability and data replication of servers at the primary and remote DR site. · Have strong analytical skills and have experience working with technical and business area experts. · Provide technical support, monitoring, and maintenance to source and replicated systems at the Customer facility and remote Disaster Recovery (DR) site. · Implement systems changes and improvements through the Customer change management process for existing and newly deployed systems. · Process work requests as submitted through the Customer services desk. · Design and implement enterprise class solutions for the Customer. · Provide research and analytical services for new projects as they emerge. · Develop protocol, process and policy development to improve organizational effectiveness. · Conduct pilot projects and research into new technologies to support current or new processes as needed. · Develop timelines as requested. · Evaluate and recommend improvements to systems and processes as requested by the Customer. · Evaluate system tools and determine their usefulness to the Customer and its customer’s environment. · Create complete and accurate project and technical documentation, including Visio diagrams when appropriate as determined by the Customer. · Provide technical expertise and input at Change Control Board meetings. · Participate in on-call rotation. *Required: * · Expert experience with Windows Server 2003 and higher · Knowledge of Windows Server · Knowledge of HPUX, Solaris and Linux · Knowledge of Netapp and EMC Avamar storage, duplication and replication appliances · Knowledge of Veritas Netbackup · Knowledge of HP Data Protector · Strong experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows servers, customers, clients and related technologies · Attention to detail, consistency and thoroughness *Preferred:* · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Demonstrated effective writing and documentation skills · Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers and staff · Ability to maintain professional working relationships with customers and staff · Knowledge of project and process management concepts · Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V and other virtualization technologies · Knowledge of prevalent system monitoring tools and protocols (Nagios, Solarwinds, WhatsUp, SNMP) · Hands-on experience with server hardware and related peripheral devices (racks, cabling, KVMs, UPS, network switches, local and SAN-based storage) · Understanding of TCP/IP, communication ports (TCP/UDP), firewall fundamentals as they relates to systems management · Solid understanding of backup strategies, best practices and methods · Experience with shell scripting (PowerShell, WSH, Batch) · Proficiency with advanced Excel tools and data manipulation techniques · Government project experience Regards , Kailash Negi VSG Business Solutions Phone: 302-261-3207 x 102 Email: kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups American Vendor--IT Consulting group.
