*Please find the below requirement.* *Job Title: Interaction Designer/UI/UX front Designer * *Location: Alpharetta, GA, or Dayton, OH, or Boca Raton, FL* *Duration: 6 Months* *an Interaction Designer experienced in the design of complex business to business or business to consumer software products and systems.* * You will be collaborating with a dedicated business and engineering team to develop and enhance a best of breed subscription-based application for the Law Enforcement market. This will require transforming complex data, workflow processes and end user requirements into functional and innovative web-based interfaces. Experience in data visualization is desirable. You will be consulting with the larger interface design team. A solid grounding in information architecture is critical for developing interface concepts around the data workflow, presentation and manipulation of data. The designer will be expected to employ user-centered design methodologies to develop an understanding of user goals and tasks along with validation of designs as part of the usability and interface design process. Experience interacting with end-users and customer is required along with some travel to customer locations. This is NOT a marketing or branding role nor a front-end developer role. Designs will be storyboarded and iterated using wireframes with follow through to HTML prototypes in a collaborative and user focused environment with end-users, business, product and engineering stakeholders. The designer must have the experience to lead, support and defend best practices and user-centered design decisions towards creating best of breed designs. The designer should have coding and visual skills to convert wireframes into high fidelity HTML and CSS based prototypes for review sessions with internal/external stakeholders and handover and review by the engineering team. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and its varying methodologies is necessary for success. Visual/graphic design experience is advantageous but not a requirement for the position however a strong aesthetic design sense is necessary. Scripting experience such as jQuery and Bootstrap is advantageous but not a requirement for the position. **A portfolio of work is required to apply for this position. QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Interaction Design, Product/Usability Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design or related field & experience. 5+ years of interaction design experience in: - Complex application interface design such as e-commerce and B2B systems - Experience with data visualization - User workflow and data modeling (Information Architecture) - Usability & User research experience Visual design or a strong aesthetic sensibility - Building of wireframe and web based prototypes - Applicable design and development tools or equivalents - Visio, Axure (for wireframing), Dreamweaver, Fireworks/Photoshop.
