*Position:Hadoop Admin*

*Duration: 3 months, with likely extension.*

*Location: Minneapolis, MN. *



*These are admin/set up/configure skills and not development skills.*



*Day to day tasks:*

   - Mostly managing, monitoring, tuning current environments (*Hortonworks
   Hadoop Environment*).
   - Work on HDP Upgrades, most of them from 2.2. To upward, so should be
   rolling upgradeable.
   - Add additional components to existing clusters. i.e. Storm, Ranger,
   Knox to an existing cluster.



*Must have Skills:*

   - *RHEL 6 Admin *
   - *HDFS *
   - *Yarn *
   - *Mapreduce *
   - *Tez *
   - *Oozie *
   - *Falcon *
   - *These are admin/set up/configure skills and not development skills.*



 Nice to have:

   - SOLR
   - Spark
   - Accumulo
   - Hbase
   - Knox
   - Ranger
   - Kerberos
   - Chef or Puppet (decision soon).
