Location: Palo Alto Phone then Skype..Locals top priority! *Responsibilities:* * Architect, implement, deploy and maintain web-based applications, with an emphasis on high quality, high performance, reusable components that support the IRT's practices and guidelines. Including: * Translate user requirements into technical requirements and ultimately complete products * Work independently to create robust mission critical systems to support the school's expanding mission * Proactively identify and resolve technical problems in development process and software systems * Employ industry standard tools and techniques in analysis and design, including business, object, data and process modeling. * Coordinate with users and technical staff throughout the University to understand and maximally leverage available technology infrastructure. * Continually identify and deploy tools which increase the productivity and quality of the entire development team. * Use, define, and evolve development practices to insure quality, maintainability, and productivity. * Practices should include code documentation, code reviews, automated testing, unit testing, code refactoring, and continuous integration. * Define best usage practices for current and emerging design and development technologies and methodologies. * Inform clients, project managers and supervisors with clear accurate information about timeliness and quality regarding the functional and technical aspects of the projects. * Work within agreed-upon project goals, milestones, and deadlines. * Provide accurate and detailed time estimation, accounting of risks, and other information to support project management. *Required Qualifications:* * Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required. * Minimum of Seven years related experience required. * Strong understanding of web-based technologies, application programming interfaces (APIs), mobile development, and site/infrastructure management in a large-scale enterprise environment. * Strong understanding of user experience best practices, theory and user-behavior. * Ability to synthesize user, technical and design requirements into highly usable web sites and applications. * Good understanding of object-oriented design, with focus on front-end client side scripting. * Solid understanding of browser compatibility issues. * Strong ability and desire to quickly learn and apply new technologies. * Experience working on a team using rapid development software design methodologies * Knowledge of Java MVC frameworks. * Demonstrated ability to independently implement and maintain Web 2.0 technologies. * Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, AJAX and mobile web required. * Experience working in an environment that includes a variety of middle-ware and backend web technologies such as Java, JSTL, Tomcat, Oracle, PHP, UNIX, SQL, Perl, LDAP, HTTP a plus. * Familiarity with integration technologies like Web Services and REST based APIs. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Strong written and verbal/presentation communication skills Regards, Siddharth Tiwari IDC TECHNOLOGIES INC | 1851 McCarthy Boulevard, Suite 116, Milpitas, CA , USA, 95035 *Phone No.: 408 457 9381 Ext. 4043 I Email: *siddha...@idctechnologies.com *I Web: **www.idctechnologies.com* <http://www.idctechnologies.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
