*Please send updated profiles for the below position.* SSIS Developer with Pentaho experience Green card/Citizens only *Seattle, WA* *Overview of Position* A. Job Description A technical position to create, test and deploy a series of ETL (Extract Transform Load) jobs in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to replace those currently in use that were built using Pentaho. Deployment and scheduling to be done on an existing MS SQL server. Most jobs are targeting Oracle servers. Job output includes FTP and file server in addition to running processes against the databases. Email alerting and job scheduling for recurring automated scheduled jobs is required. Provide assistance and advice regarding current SSIS jobs and those in development, environment setup and templating, as time allows. B. Responsibilities · Review existing Pentaho jobs and develop prioritized work plan to ensure completion of deployment within the scope of the contract. o Primary focus on jobs associated with PCI security finding for FTP via MoveIt Central. o Secondary focus on remaining jobs in priority order according to previously existing conversion plans · Evaluate existing SSIS template for potential issues and report. · Create SSIS packages that duplicate the functionality, alerting and scheduling of the existing Pentaho jobs. · Validate the effectiveness of each new package. · Review SQL server prior to deployment to determine prior methodology. · Deploy each package within the context of prior work, maintaining the existing methodologies and design framework. · Provide updates on progress on an ongoing basis. · Provide troubleshooting on other team SSIS work, as time allows. C. Other Factors · Location: Federal Way, WA. Work from a remote location will not be considered. · Daily work hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PST. Work will be done on site. *II. What We’re Looking For: Candidate Qualifications and Experience* Candidate must have: · Thorough competency in ETL processes, tools and databases · Demonstrated ability to create and deploy SSIS packages effectively on MS SQL Server 2012 · Familiarity with Oracle databases (Oracle 10) · Ability to respect team methodologies and work instructions · Ability to accurately evaluate work and estimate effort · Ability to accurately document work Candidate is preferred to have: · Experience developing with Pentaho Data Integration · Experience working with SQL Server and Oracle databases in an integrated environment · Ability to consult on SSIS and SQL Server best practices We are looking to interview and hire candidate(s) ASAP.
