*Please reply me back at rahul.mis...@e-solutionsinc.com rahul.mis...@e-solutionsinc.com*Job Title: Cognos Administrator Location: Hartford, CT Duration: Long Term Responsibilities: Skills/Experience 1.Must have 6+ years of experience in Cognos admin 2.Very strong experience in T-SQL, SQL Store procedures, Data analysis 3.Advanced TSQL Skills 4.Experience with upgrading Cognos or Cognos 7 series suite Installation 5.Cognos Administration - publishing report , Publishing cubes, upfront, understanding of macros security 6.Impromptu administrator - for maintaining a catalog to writing a report 7.Transformer - from creating a source for the cube to creating cube and publishing 8.Powerplay - how to connect to report to a cube have automatic update of the report 9.Command understanding- how to use command file to get Cognos cubes reports to run on a schedule 10. Trouble shooting resolve Cognos related issues 11. Skills on SQL server . TSQL Skills , SSIS DTS1 12. Advanced Performance and Tuning Skills 13. Strong Data Analysis and Design Skills 14. Excellent Communication and Analytical Skills 15. Self-starter who can perform consultant role 16. Good knowledge of SDLC Requirements: Must: • Solid understanding of BIDW concepts • Deep knowledge Cognos Admin • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices • Strong experience designing and working with multi architectures • Ability to design and work with SQL Server database • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment • Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player • Passionate about building high-quality systems • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical skills able to identify alternatives, presenting options, and making recommendations to meet the projects goals • Good Problem solving abilities Nice to have: • Insurance Domain Knowledge • SAP Business objects experience is a plus Thanks Regards, Rahul Mishra E-Solutions Inc 2 N.
