*Job Description:*

· Experience in installing & administration of Netbackup Master
server, Media server and clients

· Experience in Veritas 6.5 or 7.X

· Good experience in NDMP, SLP (storage lifecycle policies) & Media
management.

· Good experience in Deduplication & Troubleshooting.

· Expertise in designing and implementing Netbackup solutions for
various client platforms such as oracle, sql,informix, solaris, windows,
db2.

· Expertise in performing Netbackup upgrades on Netbackup Master
servers. Media servers and clients.

· Strong understanding of Netbackup error codes and resolution.

· Strong understanding of Netbackup recoveries to multiple Oss and
application types.

· Knowledge on Oracle RMAN and backup/restore processes.

· Knowledge on Microsoft SQL backup/restore processes.

· Technical support on incidents. End to end ownership of the
incident till resolution.

· Planning and coordination of changes with business units for
changes in the BKP environment.

· Analyzing, estimating the impact and communicating the same to
the customer.

· Expertise in day-to-day operations on Netbackups (Netbackup
Health check).

· Expertise in monitoring Netbackup client backups.

· Expertise in performing restores.

· Master level understanding of multiplexing and drive management.

· Design the backup network to ensure that the required service
level agreements (SLAs) for recovery are met.

· Perform root cause analysis for problems encountered

· Good working experience on Virtual and physical tape libraries.

· Good working experience on handling tape drives issues.

· Expertise in planning, implementing & troubleshooting Disaster
Recovery Manager (DRM) on Netbackup environment.

· Effective communication and team skills with an ability to
cooperate, present to and participate with peers/team members

· Understanding concepts behind Clusters and cluster administration

· Basic understanding of SAN/NAS architecture

· Basic Knowledge on Data Domain.

· ITIL knowledge. (Good understanding of Incident, Asset, Problem
and Change Management)

*Skills and Experience Required : *

   - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience directly managing day to day
   operations of a NetBackup environment (6.x and/or 7.x), with a solid
   understanding of NetBackup policies, scheduling and backup methodology in a
   heterogeneous environment
   - Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working with Enterprise class
   infrastructure technologies, including hands-on server management,

   tuning parameters and scripting
   - Experience in managing EMC storage hardware, including DMX3, VMAX,
   Clariion, EDL, Celerra and Centera and/or Hitachi VSP is a plus
   - Experience with OpenVMS, IBM Power Hardware, and TSM are a plus
   - Experience backing up SAN Clones with Netbackup would be a plus

   - The Backup Systems Administrator will perform daily system monitoring,
   verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources,
   systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, verifying
   completion of scheduled jobs, investigate and troubleshoot issues; as they
   relate to the backup infrastructure.
   - Troubleshoot and resolve failed Netbackup jobs and close Remedy
   Incidents
   - Implement new servers into the appropriate backup schema, create new
   Netbackup polices where appropriate, create SOP’s, create ContolM
   scheduling jobs
   - Perform restores via Netbackup application.
   - Ensure physical and virtual tape inventories, monitor and remediate
   frozen, write protected media
   - Maintain health of IBM 3584 tape library supporting LT04 tape drives.
   - Maintain health of IBM ProtecTIER for both open Systems and iSeries
   - Reporting via Symantec OpsCenter Analytics reporting tool.
   - Assist with Netbackup version upgrades Master/ Media server as well a
   client version upgrades.
   - Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
