Job Title:: Functional SAP Payroll
DURATION: 6 months with possibility of extension
LOCATION: Houston, TX (Downtown)
MANDATORY SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years experience as a senior SAP Functional Payroll Consultant with
the following specific configuration experience: Payroll wage types and
processing classes, schemas, process models, BSI tax upgrades.
• Demonstrative experience working with Business users (business managers,
HR reps, Payroll analysts, etc.) to gather/define/document functional
requirements for processing payroll in SAP
• Leveraging knowledge of Schemas, Wage Types, Garnishment, and Tax
Reporting to analyze requirements and make recommendations for improvement
of payroll processes where appropriate
• Conducting functional integration testing by creating scenarios for test
cases & executing test cases
• Helping to prepare training materials and conduct user training
• Excellent spoken and written English is imperative
• General OM/PA experience and solid understanding of how SAP Payroll and
SAP Personnel Administration (PA) work together
DESIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working with union requirements is highly desirable -
particularly with a manufacturing company that has plants in different
parts of the U.S. with Union employees
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work for the IT department of a Fortune 500 company during a SAP Payroll
implementation, which includes rolling out to locations in different parts
of the U.S. that have union employees. Responsibilities will include:
configuration, defining functional requirements, working as a liaison
between IT and the business users, and conducting Functional Integration
Testing.
· Chair Blueprinting sessions, gather and document functional business
requirements
· As you analyze users' business requirements, proactively collaborate with
them to recommend improvements for how to optimize payroll related
processes
· Lead and conduct testing efforts by creating test plans, test scripts and
executing test cases
· After testing validate that business output results are correct; If not
correct, work with IT to make sure they determine cause and fix issues
· Provide post-implementation support to business users as needed
