The new tarball is fine; what was the outcome of the discussion with Gettext
and Guile people?

[Savannah-register-public] [task #15273] Submission of Guile-GettextPo

Follow-up Comment #2, task #15273 (project administration):

Hi, Ineiev!

Thank you for your answer.

I've proposed it to gettext and guile
(https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gettext/2019-05/msg00022.html and
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/guile-devel/2019-05/msg1.html), even I
don't know if I should try again or propose it some other way, do you think
so?

Nevertheless, I've already sent some patches for gettext to at least update
the manual and I could integrate my sources in its code base without too much
effort.

The latest tarball comes attached, it contains copyright notices inside
TODO.org, ChangeLog and config.h.in (automatically generated), NEWS and the
.po tests. It removes src/extension.c and src/extension.x, generated
automatically from src/extension.c.in and not needed in the distribution,
probably doing more harm than good.

The only file without a copyright notice is AUTHORS, as it is only one line, I
hope I didn't fail this time. Those copyright notices come together with more
tests, code and documentation.

Best regards,
Miguel

Follow-up Comment #1:

Hello, Miguel!

First, did you consider adding this package as a part to gettext?

Then, please make sure that all files in your tarball have valid copyright and
license notices .

 Description:
Guile-GettextPo is a GNU Guile wrapper for GNU Gettext's library libgettextpo.
It exposes to our beloved Scheme dialect several functions to process and
manipulate files in the PO[1] message translation file format. To achieve
that, it leverages the implementation used by the standard GNU Gettext tools,
such as msgattrib and msgfilter.

Guile-GettextPo implementation consists in a C library that
encapsulates some parts of the API exposed by libgettextpo, and a Scheme
interface accessible through the (gettext po) module, which provides functions
to generate, extract, manipulate and check individual translation messages or
complete files.
