"7z x mklauncher-1.0.0-source.7z.001" works for me.

Your tarball contains proprietary software. We don't host such packages on

_Also, when extracting, 7z complains that there are multiple files with the
same name. Could you use .tar.gz?_

We downloaded the "7z" files from the "Savannah" download area, and verified
that they work properly.

The following procedure should work, if for example the nine "7z" files are in
the "Downloads" folder :

$ cd Downloads
$ 7z x mklauncher-1.0.0-source.7z.001

The result of this command is this :

7-Zip [64] 16.02 : Copyright (c) 1999-2016 Igor Pavlov : 2016-05-21

Everything is Ok

Folders: 79

This extracts the "mklauncher-1.0.0-source" folder in the current folder.

Could *Ineiev* please, put the output of his "7z command" so that we can find
the problem.

Hello *Ineiev*

_No, it doesn't:_

You can use easily : *"Megatools - command line client (GPL)"*

This is available in "GNU/Linux" and "FreeBSD" :

* Debian
* Ubuntu
* Fedora
* Arch
* Gentoo

You can install this on your system with some package manager, example :

*Debian*

$ su
# apt install megatools

*Fedora*

$ su
# dnf install megatools

*FreeBSD*

Megatools is available in ports thanks to Maxim V. Kostikov:

  http://www.freshports.org/net/megatools/

Once the "megatools" package is installed, you can download files from any
"public Mega link".

*Download "mklauncher-1.0.0-source.tar.gz" since Mega*

Split it into 10 parts.

"GNU" is much shorter. Why don't you use _it_ for reasons of efficiency?
This would be more correct, because its contribution into the system is bigger
than Linux.

Follow-up Comment #6, task #15275 (project administration):

Hello *Ineiev*

*Ineiev*

_I'm sorry, this URL doesn't work for me._

We have verified that this link works correctly :

https://mega.nz/#!IcIXCQ4b!JD40AeYythq0F9nwfkMnlWd2nUx7ApVARTdnqv-LvXI

This contains the package *"mklauncher-1.0.0-source.tar.gz of 32 Megabytes"*.

Supposedly the system of "Savannah" allows to attach files of "16384 kB".

We try to attach a file *"mklauncher-1.0.0-source.7z of 14.2 Megabytes"*, but
the system of "Savannah" does not allow it.

The "Savannah" system did not allow us to attach even a file of "6
Megabytes".

That's why we're using a "Mega" link.

*Ineiev*

_What is the hard thing: to write 4 characters more or to treat people with
due respect when using their hosting resources for your package?_

When we say :

*fedoramedia_cf*

_However in the source code simply "Linux" is used because it is shorter. Also
in some examples where it refers to "Software for Linux architecture
specifically", example :_

_*Launch a "Linux" emulator*_

We mean that :

Each source code file has a header in which the GNU project work is
recognized, example :

{
   mklauncher.pp
 --

 "mklauncher" Launcher generator for free desktop.

 See the file COPYING.GPL.txt, included in this distribution,
 for details about the copyright.

 This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,
 but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of
 MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

 "mklauncher" Copyright (c) by "Fedoramedia team". Is free software,
This
 works in GNU/Linux, FreeBSD and others, is freed under the terms of the
 GPL (GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE). More information can be found in :

 http://www.fedoramedia.cf

 _

 You can support this project by sending a donation to :

 PayPal [http://www.fedoramedia.cf/project/mklauncher/index.html]
}

In the code itself : Unit names, class instances, variables and constants. The
name "Linux" or "linux" is used, not with the intention of subtract
recognition, to the GNU project in no way, but because the shorter form of
names should always be used for simplicity.

For example, when you create names to use in a network, you use the shortest
names for simplicity, for example :

If you have the following devices:

2 Windows 10
3 Debian 9

And the criteria for creating the name is :

[Type] + [System] + [#]

Then the names would look like this :

pcwin101 pcwin102

pcdeb91 pcdeb92 pcdeb93

In the names of the machines with "GNU/Linux" system, the short name "linux"
is not even used, because it is more practical to use the name of the
distribution. Doing this is not intended to subtract credit to the project
"GNU" or "Linux", we simply try to be more efficient.

In the same way in "mklauncher", only the short name "Linux" or "linux" is
used for reasons of efficiency.

Both in the documentation and in the source code and the console output itself
generated by "mklauncher", the "GNU" project receives the appropriate
credits.

For this reason we have not disrespected the GNU project, nor the "Savannah"
project, nor anyone else.

Follow-up Comment #4, task #15275 (project administration):

Hello *Ineiev*

Here is the new package :

"mklauncher-1.0.0-source.tar.gz"

This includes the following modifications :

* The "Linux" strings were changed by *"GNU/Linux"*.

This is correct for the documentation and for the references to the operating
system, example :

*"GNU/Linux OS"* and *"Debian GNU/Linux"*

However in the source code simply "Linux" is used because it is shorter. Also
in some examples where it refers to "Software for Linux architecture
specifically", example :

*Launch a "Linux" emulator*

* A "GPL license" header was added to all files that are not source code or
documentation.

* All unnecessary files were deleted.

We believe that this corrects all syntax errors, all "Linux" strings were
correctly converted to "GNU/Linux".

Hello *Ineiev * thanks for replying.

*Ineiev*

_I'm afraid it would be hard for you to follow Savannah hosting
requirements._

We believe that we are fulfilling all of "Savannah hosting requirements" :

* "mklauncher" is for free operating systems *(GPL)*.

* "mklauncher" does not depend on any commercial software *free software
only*.

* "mklauncher" does not use non-free file formats.

* "mklauncher" Only point people to commercial support offerings from
"fedoramedia.cf", out of "Savannah".

According to "Savannah hosting requirements"
 this is legal :

*Advertisements*

_In general, you may not advertise anything commercial on a site hosted here.
*However, as exceptions, you can point people to commercial support offerings
for your free software project,* and you can mention fan items about your free
software project that you sell directly to the users._

* "mklauncher" is labeled how "free software".

* "mklauncher" solicits donations at a site outside of "Savannah".

This is with the purpose that "mklauncher" do not be abandoned due to lack of
financing. We believe that the "Savannah" regulation is compatible with
donations and this is legal.

*Ineiev*

_ It seems to me you are too used to call the GNU/Linux operating system
Linux._

Sorry. This is a small syntax error, we are going to proceed to change all the
"Linux" strings for *"GNU/Linux"*. Then we will create a new package "tar.gz".

LXQt, MATE, Razor, ROX, TDE, Unity, XFCE, EDE, Cinnamon, Pantheon, etc.).*
* System Name:  *mklauncher*
* Type: non-GNU software and documentation
* License: GNU General Public License v2 or later (Copyright images :

[Copyright images.txt])

 Description:
"mklauncher" is a command line tool that allows you to easily create launchers
for desktops that meet the "free desktop specifications".

Example :

# mklauncher -n "Savannah Non GNU" -e "xdg-open https://savannah.nongnu.org;
-i "mk-internet.png" -cat "Network"

For more details :

# mklauncher --help

Requesting little information from the user, and reading the files "Linux
/etc/passwd" and "FreeBSD /etc/master.passwd", "mklauncher" can create
".desktop" files for all users or only the current user.

All users =  [/usr/share/applications]
Current user  =  [/home/[Current user]/.local/share/applications]

Important details :

-)"mklauncher" updates the list of applications and also the current user's
desktop.

-)"mklauncher" includes a list of standard icons.

-)"mklauncher" allows you to manually enter the desktop folder, in case of a
detection error.

-)"mklauncher" allows to create launchers using ideographic characters, this
is possible thanks to the fact that "mklauncher" converts the names to a
"valid DBUS name".

-)"mklauncher" allows you to create symbolic links directly on the desktop of
the current user.

"mklauncher" is programmed in Free Pascal version 3.0.4 [2018/05/21]

"mklauncher" Uses the "Lazarus Component Library 1.8.4"

"mklauncher" Uses "Pascal motor 1.0.2"
