No, it's still useful for converting PGN files from the command line.
You can't automate mouse clicks.

Scid was originally written for Unix-type operating systems (including
GNU variants such as GNU/Linux). Now I've never considered sound to be
that big of a deal for what I use Scid for, though I can understand why
others may think differently. But I would reconsider your choice of OS
if at all possible.
