It's an emotional telling of a woman (Anette Benning) whose life has been all but ruined by a decision to give her child up for adoption, and the cold and empty life that now adult child (Naomi Watts). Good movie, deliberately paced, not for the Transformers crowd. While at the movie, I was intrigued by a trailer for a film called Kings of the Evening, which was evidently completed last year. It's a Depression -era drama starring Tyson Beckford, Lynn Whitfield, Glynn Turman, Steven Williams (star of 21 Jump Street and Linc's), and Lou Myers. The film has earned accolades at festivals around the country. It's only got limited release: the Tara in Atlanta this weekend, Chicago, Cincinnati, LA in the upcoming weeks. Still, looks like it might be worth seeking. Check the site below for a trailer and actor info: http://www.kingsoft heevening. com/ After two years in jail, Homer Hobbs (Beckford), returns home during the depths of the Great Depression. Homer finds a kinship with four strangers as they find hope, dignity and a chance at a new life: Benny (Dorsey), the eager hustler, Gracie (Whitfield), the gracious owner of a boarding house, local oddity Clarence (Turman) and Lucy (Washington) , a young beautiful woman with a mysterious past. Each finds comfort with the other and life turns for the better when on Sunday nights the men of the neighborhood piece together their finest attire to compete in an unusual contest. Re: [scifinoir2] DC Comics Superheroes and Villains: Fandex Deluxe - side bar (u know i am good 4 these)
speaking of comics, anyone other than me invested in this 'Comic Collectors Live' software? i purchased it last year and my one year subscription expired yesterday..so u know i re-upped last night too. it is really great software. it sends me email alerts when a new book in ANY title that i am collecting goes on sale. i downloaded it on my laptop and immediately took it 2 B'ham to my parents house and unpacked the 2 footlockers that i have there with my older books in them. took the time 2 load all of them in the software and was able 2 see which titles were missing and it even lets u put out a wish list so that you can trade or purchase missing titles. if you have a comic collection like me, and u do not have this software, u might want 2 think about it. Re: [scifinoir2] Re: [milliways-L] New series of Torchwood!
here is my problem, what made Torchwood to me was the interaction of the staff and the charisma or Capt. Jack. in the new version, will they get a character as fun as Capt. Jack? i also enjoyed Eve Myles character. Alert! Alert! Alert! o.k. Just checked out EW online and saw that Capt. Jack (John Barrowman) and Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) will be joined by new characters. [scifinoir2] Woman says 3D porno made her pregnant
Thought u all might find this as funny as I did. Fate. An American woman claims she became pregnant after watching a 3D porno. US military man Erick Johnson came home from a stint in Iraq to find that his wife was pregnant. Clearly he assumed she had an affair, but his wife Jennifer claims the “other man” was actually someone a little less physical. It seems he actually buys her story, however. “I see it as suspicious. The films in 3D are very real. With today’s technology, anything is possible,” he said. What's even more interesting is that both Jennifer and Erick are white, but the child is black. Jeniffer claims the kid looks like the black porn star she had been ogling. She also claims this was one of the first times she's watched porn and only went with friends for the 3D effect. TechEye did a survey of one person and found 100 percent would say the same thing in a similar situation. “Even though my husband believed in me, my marriage could be at risk,” Jennifer said. “But he knows I’m faithful.” It just shows you what joining the military does to your head. Jennifer explained that “a month after watching the movie, I started feeling dizzy and the results were positive.” That must have been one good porno. 3D movies have gained renewed popularity since Avatar, but there have been some concerns raised over how bad they may be for your eyes. Now you'll have to worry about conceiving in the cinema. You may have jumped when an object in film was thrown at the camera, but now you'll have to be careful of other, far more uncouth things flying at you. TechEye recommends contraception for your next trip to the cinema. You never know. http://www.techeye.net/internet/woman-says-3d-porno-made-her-pregnant

The one constant of these movies is that the black person is the catch, in many ways more attractive, gifted and talented than the object of their affection (0kay, Guess Who's Ashton Kutcher may be prettier than Zoe Saldana, but his character is also unemployed) and all could, obviously, do better. The on-going conceit is that the black half of these matches has to be this fabulous just to be palatable to the ostensibly better family they are marrying into. There may be a black man in the White House but it remains the same as it was in 1967; the same as it was in 2005; and the same as it will be in this post-racial society - allegedly. http://blackplush. blogspot. com/2010/ 03/guess- whos-coming- to-dinner- now.html
Re: [scifinoir2] Clock winds down for '24'
Martin, Nick of Time was pretty good, but in '24', it takes place in a one day time span. Even with the clock on the screen, it could not be done in 2 hours. It would be like watching one of those time lapse scene's in movies where you see the sun rise and set in about 7 seconds. What makes '24' works for me is that all of the sub-plots that are going on while the main story is unfolding. I think that would be impossible to condense in a 2 hour format. [scifinoir2] Pole dancing could be recognized as a sport and headed to the Olympics Who knew? lol
Talk about MUST SEE TV! Fate. Pole dancing could be recognized as a sport and headed to the Olympics BY Rosemary Black DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER Tuesday, February 23rd 2010, 2:39 PM USPoleDance. comPole dancers at the top of their game may one day have a shot at winning an Olympic medal. Related News Articles U.S. skates, skis rings around the competition Golden pair has home crowd dancing on ice: Canadian ice dancers win, U.S. in second What a turn for ski king Bode Miller - finally realizes promise Curling's gotta go, readers say in poll Apolo Anton Ohno bronze finish in Evan Lysacek's blades of glory The strip club mainstay pole dancing - known as much for its sensual moves as its rigorous athletic side - may be headed for the Olympics. A group of pole-dance advocates is hoping for a test event in 2012 and a more formal pitch four years after that, in Rio de Janeiro, according to The Associated Press. KT Coates, a prominent pole dancer in England and director of Vertical Dance, is leading the Olympic push. After a great deal of feedback from the pole-dance community, many of us have decided that it’s about time pole fitness is recognized as a competitive sport, and what better way for recognition than to be part of the 2012 Olympics held in London, she said in a petition she’s preparing for organizers of the London Olympics. Coates added that the prospective sport has the wow factor. While her petition now has about 4,000 signatures, she is hoping to add 1,000 more. Advocates of pole dancing say other even more unlikely sports have gotten the approval of the International Olympic Committee. Tug of war was an early Olympic medal contest, and curling is now huge at the Winter Games. Yet, well-established sports like cricket and squash haven’t managed to get a spot for themselves at the Olympics, and baseball and softball recently got the ax. The International Olympic Community would need to recognize pole dancing as a sport, which could prove to be an uphill battle. But pole-dance enthusiasts are hopeful about their chances to go for the gold. It’s just a matter of time before pole dancing gets Olympic recognition, says Ania Przeplasko of Hong Kong, founder of the International Pole Dancing Fitness Association. There will be a day when the Olympics see pole dancing as a sport, she told The Associated Press. The Olympic community needs to acknowledge the number of people doing pole fitness now. We’re shooting for 2012. Some dancers aren’t so sure about pole dancing at the Olympics because they worry that the sensual aspect of the discipline would be destroyed, and that old-school pole dancers might be pushed aside by gymnasts, circus performers and Chinese acrobats who could easily pick up the moves. I don’t need to see pole dancing in the Olympics, U.S. Pole Dance Federation co-founder Wendy Traskos said. I don’t think this is necessarily the path that we need to take, as a sport. But Traskos notes that the notion of pole dancers competing for Olympic medals isn’t as farfetched as it was five years ago. Now, when you talk about it you don’t hear 'like a stripper' anymore, Traskos said. You hear things like, 'Oh, my friend takes classes for fitnees' or 'Yes, I've seen it on 'Oprah.' --- AM CBS NewsmanTips for Handling TelemarketersThree Little Words That Work !!(1)The three little words are:'Hold On, Please...'Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little wordswill helpeliminate telephone soliciting.(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a 'real' sales person to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your# button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possibleThis confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer !!!(3) Junk Mail Help:When you get 'ads' enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these 'ads' with your payment. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away. When you get those 'pre-approved' letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope. Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 41 cents postage 'IF' and when they receive them back..It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was around 50 cents before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes. One of Andy Rooney's (60 minutes) ideas.Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Citibank. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back!If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you send them. You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them 41 cents. The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice!Let's help keep our postal service busy since they are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs again You get the idea !If enough people follow these tips, it will work I have been doing this for years, and I get very little junk mail anymore.THIS JUST MIGHT BE ONE E-MAIL THAT YOU WILL WANT TO FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS attachment: image001.jpg

She's wild. It is full-on flirtatiousness. This depiction of Hell is sumptuous, decadent and dark, all candlelight and high ceilings full of Gothic detail. In Greek mythology, Persephone is abducted by Hades and tricked into becoming his wife and Queen of the Underworld . She is also the goddess of springtime and Rosario first thought of wearing robes and flowers. But the actress wanted to go for a modern look with chipped nail polish and lace rather than a T-shirt and mini skirt. Instead, she wears a bustle and corset. She said: It's a little darker and grungier, a gothic image that I think is quite fascinating. It is fun to reinterpret the myths surrounding her and try to imagine her and place her in this world. She's very bitter and angry. She is violent and aggressive and it's fascinating because she also has innocence and sweetness and childlike qualities when she's not being completely bitter. She is also very lustful.

[scifinoir2] Saying Goodbye to Mother
We were dressed and ready to go out for the New Years Eve Party. We turned on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered our pet parakeet and put the cat in the backyard. We phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi. The taxi arrived and we opened the front door to leave the house. As we walked out the door, the cat we had put out in the yard, scoots back into the house. We didn't want the cat shut in the house because she always tries to eat the bird. My wife goes on out to the taxi, while I went back inside to get the cat. The cat runs upstairs, with me in hot pursuit. Waiting in the cab, my wife doesn't want the driver to know that the house will be empty for the night. So, she explains to the taxi driver that I will be out soon, 'He's just going upstairs to say Goodbye to my mother.' A few minutes later, I get into the cab. 'Sorry I took so long,' I said, as we drove away. 'That stupid bitch was hiding under the bed. I had to poke her ass with a coat hanger to get her to come out! She tried to take off, so I grabbed her by the neck. Then, I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching me. But it worked! I hauled her fat ass downstairs and threw her out into the back yard!' The cab driver hit a parked car.

[scifinoir2] Letter From Grandma
LETTER FROM GRANDMA Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes: Dear Grand-daughter, The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a Thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the sticker and put it on my Bumper. Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in Thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the Light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't Honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus! While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, And then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!' 'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those Loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him Yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger Stuck up in the air. I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant.. He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the window And gave him the good luck sign right back. My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this religious experience! A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that They got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is When I noticed the light had changed. So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on Through the intersection. I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection Before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave Them after all the love we had shared. So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord For such wonderful folks!! Will write again soon, Love, Grandma

The story is a familiar scifi story: Hulk trapped in a strange land, forced to become a gladiator, escapes to oppose the evil emperor, becomes a hero/savior to the people. But the way it was handled was really good. Hulk's powers are reduced due to a space warp that brings him to the planet, which allows his capture and enslavement. There are some cool characters, such as Caiera, an alien from a race where some members can draw strength form the planet itself. The power is rare, which is why Caiera's ability to use it makes her the Oldstrong. and there's Korg, a member of the race of beings that the Easter Island statues are based on. This was all precipitated by Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Black Bolt, and Dr. Strange having tricked Bruce Banner into a spaceship they were using to banish him for all time. The ship missed the peaceful planet Reed had intended due to Hulk's rampage, and landed on this hellish planet instead. Good story, I really enjoyed it. That was followed by World War Hulk, where Hulk returns to Earth to get revenge on Reed and company. that was good too, but not as good as Planet Hulk. I really am intrigued to see if the cartoon can get it right, especially given the worrying lowering of the adult themes for a younger audience. -- Celebrating 10 years of bringing diversity to perversity! And that was followed by Invasion, where it was revealed the Skrulls had for years replaced key heroes, leaders and villains on Earth. They got within a hair's breadth of conquering Earth, but lost. The fallout from that saw Iron Man disgraced, and the new hero of the day as Norman Osborn, who know leads SHIELD's replacement HAMMER, as well as the Avengers. Now we have the Dark books, as Osborn and his criminal cohorts control things, but a growing resistance of heroes are gathering to fight them. Meanwhile, Thor and the Asgardians have defeated Ragnarok and are back from Limbo, but are now preparing to do battle with Dr. Doom, who along with Loki has conspired to exploit the Asgardians. As if that weren't enough, there's Siege, where Osborn has decided the Asgardians must go, and is preparing to hit Asgard with everything he's got. Oh--and let's not forget Doomwar, where Dr. Doom has been manipulating the near-death of T'Challa, and is now preparing to invade Wakanda, but is soon going to have his hands full fighting T'Challa, his sister (the new Black Panther), the FF, and Namor. Whew! The Marvel Universe is going to all sorts or turmoil, and I haven't even addressed Annihilation, War of Kings (involving the Inhumans and Cyclops' crazy brother), the great Winter Soldier storyline (the return of Bucky), the X-Men's travails, the Spidey books, or the fact that Daredevil now rules the Hand. I know the concept of the megastory, the maxiseries, and the crossover storyline has been done to death by Marvel and DC in the last few years. Many fans groan and complain at the requirement to buy several different books to follow the latest invasion or battle, and more than one fan feels the major event is just a gimmick to make people do just that: buy many titles. Often, it's felt, the events themselves are simply not that compelling. Exceptions include Crisis on Infinite Earths, Heroes Reborn/Return. But I have to say i've been caught up in Marvel's incredibly dense, far reaching, and complex storylines. I dug the Civil War, though some aspects of it were puzzling (Spidey reveals his identity to the world? Reed Richards creates a cyborg clone of Thor?) I'm liking Osborn in control, and the battle we know is coming to take care of that. I like the Black Panthers taking it to Doom. Thor has never been more interesting, and I can't wait to see what happens with Siege. Guess I'm just a sucker for the high drama. I understand that Marvel's plotted this for years, and that when the smoke from all these battles ends by April, the major books are going to go lighter, more retro. The Avengers will be less grim, and I hear more of the Marvel heroes will return to more

[scifinoir2] PENGUINS
Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica? Where do they go? Wonder no more! -- It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life. If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into and buried. The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing: 'Freeze a jolly good fellow'. Then they kick him in the ice hole. You really didn't believe that I knew anything at all about penguins, did you? Lighten Up Have a GREAT Day.

LOVE Dress A woman stopped by unannounced at her son's house. She knocked on the door then immediately walked in. She was shocked to see her daughter-in-law lying on the couch, totally naked. Soft music was playing, and the aroma of perfume filled the room. 'What are you doing?' she asked. 'I'm waiting for Bill to come home from work,' the daughter-in-law answered. 'But you're naked!' the mother-in-law exclaimed. 'This is my love dress,' the daughter-in-law explained. 'Love dress? But you're naked!' 'Bill loves me to wear this dress,' she explained. 'It excites him to no end. Every time he sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic and ravages me for hours on end. He can't get enough of me.' The mother-in-law left. When she got home, she undressed, showered, put on her best perfume, dimmed the lights, put on a romantic CD, lay on the couch waiting for her husband to arrive. Finally, her husband came home. He walked in and saw her lying there so provocatively. 'What are you doing?' he asked. 'This is my love dress,' she whispered, sensually. 'Needs ironing,' he said. 'What's for dinner? This answers all questions explains why I forward jokes. A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them. After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and ashe got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side. When he was close enough, he called out, 'Excuse me, where are we?' 'This is Heaven, sir,' the man answered. 'Wow! Would you happen to have some water?' the man asked. 'Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up'. The man gestured, and the gate began to open. 'Can my friend,' gesturing toward his dog, 'come in, too?' the traveler asked. 'I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets.' The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog. After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book. 'Excuse me!' he called to the man. 'Do you have any water?' 'Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in.' 'How about my friend here?' the traveler gestured to the dog. 'There should be a bowl by the pump.' They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog. When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree. 'What do you call this place?' the traveler asked. 'This is Heaven,' he answered. 'Well, that's confusing,' the traveler said. 'The man down the road said that was Heaven, too.' 'Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell.' 'Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?' 'No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind.' S... Sometimes, we wonder why friends keep forwarding jokes to us without writing a word. Maybe this will explain. When you are very busy, but still want to keep in touch, guess what you do? You forward jokes. When you have nothing to say, but still want to keep contact, you forward jokes. When you have something to say, but don't know what, and don't know how, you forward jokes. Also to let you know that you are still remembered, you are still important, you are still loved, you are still cared for, guess what you get? A forwarded joke. So, next time if you get a joke, don't think that you've been sent just another forwarded joke, but that you've been thought of today and your friend on the other end of your computer wanted to send you a smile. When I first saw the Twilight Zone ep described below, i thought it reasonable that the Devil would make a last minute grab at a soul in route to Heaven. So my young mind was frightened at the thought that some day *I'd* face some tough test--what if I failed and ended up in a lake of fire and brimstone? What if I didn't have a faithful hound dog to help me defeat the Devil's ploy? As an adult, I think differently, of course, and ain't worried about Satan getting one last shot on souls who've died in Grace. But man did that stuff scare me as a kid! In it, an old hillbilly guy goes hunting for 'coon with his hound dog, even though his wife begs him not too. She'd seen signs and portents that something awful would happen. The man and his dog pursue a raccoon into a river, then things go blank. Later he tries to go home, but quickly realizes he's died, and can't be seen or heard by his wife or anyone else. Sorrowfully, he and his hound dog walk along a dirt road toward their reward. The man stops at one place with a slick-looking guard before a gate, but his dog is upset and barks at the guy. The gatekeeper says no pets allowed in Heaven, and the old man sadly says I don't want no part of a place that won't accept my dog. They then keep walking, and end up at a simple gate with a hillbilly chewing on a piece of straw, who says Howdy! We've been waiting for you! He says that dogs are sho' 'nuff welcome in Heaven, and then tells the relieved old man that the fancy place down the street was Hell. At the time of his death, there were 317 slaves at Mount Vernon – 123 owned by Washington, 154 dower slaves, and 40 rented from a neighbor. Washington had completed and updated slave inventory list in 1799. (from Wikipedia): Washington's secret 1799 will In 1799, Washington revised his 1786 slave inventory list. This was done to make sure that his own slaves would be emancipated.[1] It is speculated that Washington wrote his will in secret in July 1799 because his family would severely disapprove of emancipating, caring for, and educating freemen, women, and children. In the will the old and the infirm freed slaves would be taken care of until death by their heirs. The freed children would be bound by the Court until they reached 25 years of age, and they would be taught to read and write and be brought up to some useful occupation. William Lee was given immediate freedom or the choice to stay at Mt. Vernon with $30 annual pay.[34] Part of Washington's will read as follows: Upon the decease of my wife, it is my will and desire that all the slaves which I hold in my own right shall receive their freedom...And whereas among those who will receive freedom according to this devise, there may be some who from old age or bodily infirmities, and others who on account of their infancy, that will be unable to support themselves; it is my will and desire that all who come under the first and second description shall be comfortably clothed and fed by my heirs while they live[34] On the education of the newly freed African Americans: The Negroes thus bound, are (by their Masters or Mistresses), to be taught to read and write; to be brought up to some useful occupation, agreeably to the Laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, providing for the support of orphan other poor Children.[34] To ensure that the executors of the will would not try to find some way to evade his wishes to free the slaves, Washington wrote:[35] and I do hereby expressly forbid the Sale, or transportation out of the said Commonwealth, of any Slave I may die possessed of, under any pretence whatsoever. And I do moreover most pointedly, and most solemnly enjoin it upon my Executors hereafter named, or the Survivors of them, to see that this clause respecting Slaves, and every part thereof be religiously fulfilled at the Epoch at which it is directed to take place; without evasion, neglect or delay http://twitter. com/ravenadal http://theworldebon .blogspot. com From: Tracey de Morsella tdemorsella@ multiculturaladv antage.com To: scifino...@yahoogro ups.com; Lockhart, Daryle dar...@darylelockha rt.com; afrikanmind@ hotmail.com; Albert Fields cbilmarketing@ yahoo.com; bettil...@msn. com; CINQUE cinque3...@verizon. net; dorothyhamm@ sbcglobal. net; duva...@hotmail. com; fis...@bellsouth. net; GTW gwashin...@aol. com; Jeffrey Ballou jeffreypballou@ gmail.com; Kai Pettaway killa...@gmail. com; kalpub...@aol. com; keithbjohnson@ comcast.net; Kera imke...@gmail. com; Leroy Hughes seriousnupe87@ yahoo.com; Logic logic1...@aol. com; Martin Baxter Truthseeker013@ icqmail.com; Marvalous mmb1...@gmail.. com; Michael Gordon gord...@indiana. edu; michael.v.w. gor...@gmail. com; ravenadal ravena...@yahoo. com; rs...@yahoo. com; Seku Brathwaite everythingist@ nyc.rr.com; Valery Jean valeryjean77@ yahoo.com; Wendell Theophilus Smith wendellsmithis@ gmail.com; Whitney J Evans sonofafieldnegro@ sbcglobal. net; williamsfred@ speakeasy. net; Zanfordino Anthony beta...@yahoo. com Sent: Sun, January 17, 2010 8:25:51 PM Subject: FW:George Washington became a abolitionist (in
[scifinoir2] Old Age
An elderly gentleman... Had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100% . The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, 'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.' The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times! ' Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: 'Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?' Slim says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.' 'Really!? Like a newborn baby!?' 'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.' An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.' The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?' The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns.' 'Do you mean a rose?' 'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?' Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital. After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator. On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him. 'I don't know,' he said 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown .' Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember. Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. 'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks. 'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?' 'Sure.' 'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks. 'No , I can remember it.' 'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to forget it?' He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries. ' 'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks. Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!' Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment. 'Where's my toast ?' A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy: 'So I hear you're getting married?' 'Yep!' 'Do I know her?' 'Nope!' 'This woman, is she good looking?' 'Not really.' 'Is she a good cook?' 'Naw, she can't cook too well.' 'Does she have lots of money?' 'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.' 'Well, then, is she good in bed?' 'I don't know.' 'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?' 'Because she can still drive!' Three old guys are out walking. First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?' Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!' Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.' A man was telling his neighbour, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect.' 'Really,' answered the neighbor . 'What kind is it?' 'Twelve thirty.' Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?' Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'' The doctor said, 'I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.' One more! A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool... After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split. The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?' 'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

BSG: The Plan is a replay of the initial Cylon attack that wiped out humanity(?) from the Cylon point of view. It is interesting to do a rewind to see the story behind the scenes. Caprica rewinds the story even farther back to about 58 years before the war with the Cylons began. It also covers the origin of the Cylons. The big difference is that the storyline is more along the lines of an Earth based drama. They are replaying the pilot episode on 1/22. Scott Bakula is a womanizing playboy who seems to have a different bed partner every night and seems to love his weed. Ray Romano's the guy separated from his wife, partially due ot his gambling addiction, who can't seem to get over here. And Andre Braugher's the family man who works at a job he hates--car salesman at his overbearing father's dealership-- in order to take care of his family. I've enjoyed the show so far. This wry drama stars Emmy® winner Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), Golden Globe® winner Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise) and Emmy winner Andre Braugher (Homicide: Life on the Street, TNT’s Salem’s Lot). It marks a return to series television for Romano, who created MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE with Everybody Loves Raymond Emmy winner Mike Royce. The two serve as executive producers, along with Rory Rosegarten and Cary Hoffman. MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE explores the unique bonds of male friendship among three men experiencing the changes and challenges of mid-life. They have been best friends since college but now, in their 40s, are navigating through the second act of their lives. Joe (Romano) is a friendly, slightly neurotic, recently separated father of two who had dreams of being a professional golfer. Now he owns and runs a party store. Terry (Bakula) is a laid-back, handsome actor who seems to breeze through life (and women). Lately, he’s spending more time working as a temp than as an actor. And Owen (Braugher) is an overstressed husband and father of three who endures constant criticism from his father, for whom he works as a car salesman. These friends face very different challenges. Joe, who currently lives in a hotel, tries to connect with his kids and is dipping his toe in the dating pool, while also struggling with the gambling problem that may have ended his marriage. The unmarried Terry scoffs at domestic issues but sometimes wonders if his own single life is all it’s cracked up to be. Owen does everything he can to climb the sales board at his father’s car dealership and keep his cool over the seemingly endless renovation project in the home he can barely afford. Through it all, these men are there for each other when it counts.

Tom Rosenberg from Lakeshore confirms the rumors about Underworld 4. Rise Of The Lycans has scored the best critical reaction of any of the movies in the Underworld series. Underworld 4 movie will be the next sequel in the group focusing on continuing the story of Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Speedman’s story. Underworld 4 story “It’s a theatrical release definitely,” Rosenberg tells the site. “I feel great about that. I think it’s the strongest story that we’ve put together of the three. I think it’s really terrific. I think it leads to a 4th. When we did the 1st ‘Underworld,’ we imagined three – the 1st one, a sequel and then a prequel. The 3rd is a prequel, so the 4th would carry on where Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman left off after 2, so I think this is going to be terrific really this one.” As for the prequel’s storyline: “This is how they meet and Michael Sheen becomes the leader of the werewolves. This is told from the werewolf’s. [scifinoir2] 3 Good Reasons
GOD ENJOYS A GOOD LAUGH! There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black: 1. He called everyone brother. 2. He liked Gospel. 3. He didn't get a fair trial. But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish: 1. He went into His Father's business. 2. He lived at home until he was 33. 3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God. But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian: 1. He talked with His hands. 2. He had wine with His meals. 3. He used olive oil. But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was a Californian: 1. He never cut His hair. 2. He walked around barefoot all the time. 3. He started a new religion. But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an American Indian: 1. He was at peace with nature. 2. He ate a lot of fish. 3. He talked about the Great Spirit. But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish: 1. He never got married. 2. He was always telling stories. 3. He loved green pastures. But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman: 1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was virtually no food. 2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it. 3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was still work to do. Can I get an AMEN!!

The studio pioneer's detractors insist that he was racist and mean. A deeper look shows that the truth about the man is far more complicated. By Neal Gabler November 22, 2009 Even before it opens later this week, Disney's new animated feature, The Princess and the Frog, is already considered something of a cultural and animation landmark. After centering cartoons on a Middle Easterner (Aladdin), a Native American ( Pocahontas), an Asian (Mulan), and a Hawaiian (Lilo Stitch), Disney animation has entered the post-racial era. The new film features a black protagonist alongside the green one. It has been a long time coming, but it is an event that, if you believe Disney detractors, would have old Walt spinning in his grave (or his cryogenic chamber). That's because there is a long-standing belief among those detractors that Walt Disney was anything but the amiable, avuncular, kind-hearted figure he appeared to be on his television program and in his promotions. The real Disney, so this version goes, was a rabid reactionary who was intemperate, crabbed and mean -- racially and ethnically insensitive at best, a racist and anti-Semite at worst. Under his supervision, the Disney studio was inhospitable to minorities, few of whomwere said to have workedthere and they were virtually verboten on the screen, except to be ridiculed. Disney's was a white, Protestant, middle-class studio and fantasy. Minorities need not apply. How much of this portrait was the product of a smear campaign by Walt's enemies and how much a product of Walt's own unenlightened attitudes is difficult to determine. What one can say is that the truth about Walt Disney seems much more complicated and nuanced than either his enemies or supporters would have you believe. Labor fight Disney came by those enemies honestly when his animators staged a strike in 1941 complaining of paternalism and low wages and Walt responded by hustling the supposed union ringleaders off the lot and firing other union members to quash their organizing. Even after the four-month-long strike was settled -- under duress by the federal government -- the wounds did not heal. Disney would feel betrayed for the rest of his life by what he saw as ungrateful employees. The aggrieved employees got their own measure of revenge by portraying Walt thereafter in the least flattering light. Most of what we hear about Disney as a racist or anti-Semite was circulated by animators who had struck in 1941. I know, because several of them made the same charges to me when I was working on my biography of Disney. Unquestionably, especially after the strike, Disney was a political conservative by way of anti-communism. He was certain that the strike was instigated by communist agents in the Screen Cartoonists Guild who were determined to sully the Disney brand -- this after Disney had been extolled by the left for years for his collaborative enterprise and exemplary working conditions. Though Walt was something of a political naïf -- he had no interest in

The critic says it was too dark and not very good either. That makes me wonder know if Alice might be pretty good after all... * * * * * * *** Syfy's 'Alice': Through a looking glass, only very darkly By Robert Bianco, USA TODAY All told, it might be best to keep Syfy away from looking glasses and tornadoes. Last time Syfy decided a children's classic needed to be, in the network's words, re-imagined, we got Tin Man, a bleak tweaking of The Wizard of Ozthat buried a simple, gentle story under an ugly universe-saving quest. Now we get Alice, which throws Lewis Carroll's Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass adventures into the same revisionist blender and spews out something close to the same unappetizing gruel. Close, but not quite. What gives Alice a slight edge over its Ozian cousin is a less-heavy hand, a few brighter performances and a source better suited to a darkling outlook. Nor does it hurt that Alice, while still overextended, has two fewer hours than Tin Man. None might have been best, but less is more. Written and directed by Nick Willing (who also directed Tin Man), Alice turns Carroll's curious girl into Alice Hamilton (Caterina Scorsone), a 20-ish martial-arts expert with commitment issues and a father fixation. When her boyfriend (Philip Winchester) is kidnapped, Alice follows his assailants to Wonderland, landing in the not-completely- trustworthy hands of Hatter (Andrew-Lee Potts, Alice's best asset). This is the same Wonderland the first Alice found, but time – and, apparently, an ambitious building program – have imbued it with the arid post-apocalyptic air of which Syfy is so inordinately fond. And it's ruled by an even more evil queen (a disappointing, inexplicably English-accented Kathy Bates), who plies her compliant subjects with emotions she drains from kidnapped humans. For an hour or so, simple pleasures suffice, such as matching old characters to new and faces to names (Tim Curry, Colm Meaney, Harry Dean Stanton and Matt Frewer among them). And some of the literary translations are clever, led by Wonderland's adoption of flamingo-shaped flying scooters. But Alice soon bogs down in Willing's superimposed plot, with its shifting motives and dreary lectures. And while there are times Alice fends (or punches) for herself, too often Scorsone succumbs to a drab weepiness. Willing has recast Carroll's story as a heroine's journey to enlightenment, but it's tough to see what precisely Alice learns – unless the moral is Dump the loser, and if he's really worth anything, he'll chase after you. So you're left with a woman whose main quest is unsuccessful, and a movie that's glum, long and devoid of any sense of wonder. That's two classic strikes, Syfy. For literature's sake, let that be enough. -- Bringing diversity to perversity for over 9 years! Mahogany at: http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/mahogany_ pleasures_ of_darkness/

Loyalty in Marriage A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day. One day, he motioned for her to come nearer. As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears, You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you stayed right here.. When my health started failing, you were still by my side...You know what? What dear? she gently asked, smiling as her heart began to fill with warmth. I think you're bad luck, get away from me!!! [scifinoir2] Genie In A Bottle
Great story A Husband takes his wife to play her first game of golf.Unfortunately, the wife promptly whacked her first shot right through the window of the biggest house adjacent to the course. The husband cringed, I warned you to be careful! Now we'll have to go up there, find the owner, apologize and see how much your lousy drive is going to cost us. So the couple walked up to the house and knocked on the door. A warm voice said, Come on in. When they opened the door they saw the damage that was done: glass was all over the place, and a broken antique bottle was lying on its side near the broken window. A man reclining on the couch asked, Are you the people that broke my window? Uh...yeah, sir. We're really sorry about that, the husband replied. Oh, no apology is necessary. Actually I want to thank you... You see, I'm a genie , and I've been trapped in that bottle for a thousand years. Now that you've released me, I'm allowed to grant three wishes. I'll give you each one wish, but if you don't mind, I'll keep the last one for myself. Wow, that's great! the husband said. He pondered a moment and blurted out, I'd like a million dollars a year for the rest of my life. No problem, said the genie. You've got it, it's the least I can do. And I'll guarantee you a long, healthy life! And now you, young lady, what do you want? the genie asked. I'd like to own a gorgeous home complete with servants in every country in the world, she said. Consider it done, the genie said. And your homes will always be safe from fire, burglary and natural disasters! And now, the couple asked in unison, what's your wish, genie? Well, since I've been trapped in that bottle and haven't been with a woman in more than a thousand years, my wish is to have sex with your wife. The husband looked at his wife and said, Gee, honey, you know we both now have a fortune and all those houses. What do you think? She mulled it over for a few moments and said, You know, you're right. Considering our good fortune, I guess I wouldn't mind, but what about you, honey? You know I love you sweetheart, said the husband. I'd do the same for you! So the genie and the woman went upstairs where they spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying each other in every way. After about three hours of non-stop sex, the genie rolled over and looked directly into her eyes and asked, How old are you and your husband? Why, we're both 35, she responded breathlessly. NO SHIT.. He said, Thirty-five years old and you both still believe in genies?

The actresses who voice Donna Tubbs (Sanaa Lathan) and her daughter Roberta (first Nia Long, then Reagan Preston-Gomez) are WAY hotter than the actresses who voice the female principals on McFarlane's other shows. Roberta's boyfriend is named Federline. Make what you will of the scene where young Railo, wearing a Carter's powder blue bodysuit and sucking a pacifier walks in on Cleveland, who is in a compromising position with a white plastic blow-up doll (You're dreaming! the quick-thinking Cleveland barks). Is the meat in the greens turkey or pork? Who made the macaroni and cheese? What kind of pie is that? Who made it? Ask one more question and I will punch you in your mouth, knocking out all your fronts so you won't be able to eat anything. 2. well Keith, since i have 2 put up with it with going 2 my brother-in-law's house in marietta this year (Number One and I hosted last year), i will take some pic's 4 u. as 4 the cakes and pies, u watch your sugar and if YOUR Number One is not around, i slip u are one. --- On Mon, 11/23/09, Keith Johnson keithbjohn...@comcast.net wrote: From: Keith Johnson keithbjohn...@comcast.net Subject: Re: [scifinoir2] Thanksgiving Dinner To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com Date: Monday, November 23, 2009, 1:23 PM Funny stuff! My wife and I don't have relatives here in Atlanta, so rather than cook this year or going to some friends', we were thinking of going out. (The fact that I have to watch my blood sugar now didn't help, as pies and cakes were my favorite part!). My wife has long been a fan of eating out to avoid all the time spent on cooking and all the leftovers. I was entertaining it, but you know, i actually started thinking how I'd *miss* some of the stuff you mentioned below! I like the chaos of family meals; the loud kids, the arguments, that relative who leaves with more food on paper plates than he brought. Nothing like the cacaphony, confusion, and yes, even disagreements around a family dinner. I just couldn't see sitting sedately in a restaurant while waiters politely bring my food, and I don't even get to complain about who ate the last slice of the sour cream pound cake! My college roommate is flying in from San Fran to be with his mom, who lives here, so we'll be going there instead. Still no kids, but we ought to ahve some decent arguments, since he's a 49ers fan and I support America's Team, and he loves the new Star Trek movie, and I think it's an enjoyable but regretable move. - Original Message - From: Augustus Augustus jazzynupe_007@ yahoo.com To: Black SciFi blackscifihorrorfan tasyclub@ yahoogroups. com Cc: Sci Fi scifino...@yahoogro ups.com Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009 12:15:33 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: [scifinoir2] Thanksgiving Dinner 10 RULES FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER AT MY HOUSE 1. Re: [scifinoir2] Re: The Cleveland show
i kind of like the wisdom of the bear...but that stays inline with peter having brian in the house. i am still hopeful that the show picks up the same kind of audience the family guy has though. --- On Mon, 11/23/09, Kelwyn ravena...@yahoo.com wrote: From: Kelwyn ravena...@yahoo.com Subject: [scifinoir2] Re: The Cleavland show To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com Date: Monday, November 23, 2009, 12:34 PM I have only seen one episode of The Cleveland Show and I found it both quietly subversive and benignly derivative. For instance, Cleveland's stepson Ralio has Stewie potential but the preternaturally wise prepubescent is a black sitcom staple (Different Strokes's Arnold, Webster's Emmanuel Lewis, Family Matters' Urkel, My Wife and Kids' Franklin) and the family lives in Stoolbend, Virginia which is more juvenile than actually funny. Random thoughts: It is hard to ignore the Amos and Andy aspect of Cleveland being voiced by a white guy but hey, these are cartoons (as Marlee Matlin says I don't watch cartoons. I can't read their lips) so it is not exactly blackface. I don't know what to make of the anthropomorphic bears (one voiced by Arianna Huffington). Why the black cartoon characters got to consort with animals? (Calm down, rave!) My jury is still out. ~rave! --- In scifino...@yahoogro ups.com, Mr. Worf HelloMahogany@ ... wrote: Since no one has written about this show yet. To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com Date: Friday, November 20, 2009, 8:46 AM There are a handful of Black vampire stories but I don't see Hollywood trying to fast track them for greenlight productions. Laurent obviously dies in New Moon cause they have showed that like 10 times in the trailer. I'm not sure if there are any other Black vampires in Twilight. Blade was the only successful Blk vampire series. The Princess and the Frog is already making Disney a TON of money and hasn't been released. It's #1 in toy sales and will probably be the #1 toy for the holiday season. The latest addition to the TV graveyard: Dollhouse. According to multiple insiders, Fox has informed Joss Whedon that it will not be ordering additional installments of his low-rated drama beyond the current 13-episode order. On the bright side, the network still plans to burn off the remaining unaired episodes beginning in December. Hey, it’s something. Dollhouse has been averaging a mere 3 million viewers this season. Last season — when fan support, together with significant budget cuts, helped it to get an odds-defying second-year pickup — the show averaged 4.7 million. Bottom line: Dollhouse is lucky it ever saw a second season. Remember that when you’re posting your eulogies below. UPDATE: Whedon just posted the following statement on Whedonesque. com: “I don’t have a lot to say. I’m extremely proud of the people I’ve worked with: my star, my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you’ll agree in the coming months. I’m grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again. I’m off to pursue Internet ventures/binge drinking. Possibly that relaxation thing I’ve read so much about. By the time the last episode airs, you’ll know what my next project is. But for now, there’s a lot of work still to be done, and disappointment to bear. Thank you all for your support, your patience, your excellent adverts. Interesting how dark they're really going. For example, I thought the people back on Earth were pretty damn callous at how they wanted the Destiny crew to try using a star to power the gate. They had this attitude of it's worth the risk, but the passengers and crew weren't so sanguine! There seems to be a lot of sinister things going on behind the scenes, which I guess will be revealed in time. Even Jack O'Neill is given a bit of an edge. When Young first told Jack they were having problems on Destiny, his attitude was Fix it. Of course he's always there for Young when he needs help, but the attitude was a bit offputting to me. Tough love so Young doesn't freak out in the face of impossible odds, perhaps? I also admit that even I now would like to see something in the plots besides the crisis-aboard- ship each week. Are they through with the element-themed shows--Fire , Water, Air, etc? I'm still trying to figure out how the Destiny is supposedly locked into its singular journey across space, its twelve-hour layover limit, yet Rush can at least tell it things like We need to stop to find water. How is it he can communicate that and get a response, but can't say something like Stop the countdown, we have people still not on board!, or, Don't jump yet, our shuttle hasn't returned! ? And, while Destiny is old and locked on a course, its systems failing, I'm not getting why its base programming doesn't force it to stop and re-evaluate things once humans were on board? Shouldn't its prime directive require it to stop and await instructions, instead of kidnapping them on its crazy ride to nowhere? Did the Ancients not build in failsafes and automatic overrides, 'cause I can't get why the ship is still moving on singlemindedly, creating gates along the way and for the most part ignoring the humans? Finally, those consciousness- exchanging co mmunication devices are an awfully convenient plot device, huh? Billions of light years across the galaxy, and they do perfect communications. And are there any protocols established for using the damn things, for respecting the host's body? I mean, Eli and Chloe go out partying in their hosts' bodies, and Chloe even gets hers drunk. What would the hosts think waking up the next morning with a major hangover? And Colonel Young having sex with his estranged wife while in the body of Colonel Telford---huh? Now, while I get that Young would want to get with his ex--she's gorgeous!--isn' t it a bit weird to do it in the body of a guy he clearly dislikes? And I don't know about you, but isn't a bit odd to think of your wife *liking* another man's body making love to her? I'm pretty damn sure that, once back on the ship, I'd be thinking about that, and I'd start having real doubts about exactly *who* the wife was reacting to, you know? And, as evidenced by Telford knocking on her door at the end of the show, I'd be *real* concerned she might start liking his *body* regardless of whose mind is in it! And one last thing--what the hell has Richard Dean Anderson been eating in the last couple of years??
