Audiences for series are not growing

American audiences were excited to see the return of Stargate SG-1 and
Stargate: Atlantis on SciFi Channel over the last few weeks, but they
were virtually the same audience that tuned in for the first half of the
two series' respective seasons.

The mid-season premieres of SG-1 and Atlantis were practically on
par with the finales that aired six months ago with SG-1 picking up a
1.5 rating and Atlantis earning a 1.4 rating, GateWorld reported.

For SG-1, which is airing its final 10 episodes, that's a 0.2 ratings
drop from the mid-season finale last September, but was consistent with
last summer's average of 1.54.

Atlantis' drop was virtually identical to its sister show, also
dropping 0.2, and finishing slightly lower than its average last summer
of a 1.58.

No incentive for them to grow. I've watched both eps so far, and it's the
same-old.
