Re: [Scottish] When and where are the meetings?

2002-11-14 Thread Ben Thorp
Welcome.

The meetings are on the last Thursday of the month, beginning at 7.30pm in
the CIS Staff Room on the 11th floor of some big Strathclyde Uni building.
I think there is a map on the website http://www.scotlug.org.uk At 9.00pm
we 'retire' to the Counting House on George Square for a few light ales and
more geekspeak.

Hope to see you there.

Yes there is a URL there if you look hard
(http://www.strath.ac.uk/maps/images/livingston.gif).It's across George
St from the old Herald Offices on Albion St.

Perhaps we could set up a new links category for for ScotLug with the
map and also URLs for the mailing list and mailing list archive?

That might work, but sounds dangerous. I don't know the specifics for
SVGALib, but usually the numbers are different for a reason ;^P

Your best bet is to get the source for libsvga v1.x from somewhere,
compile and install in /usr/local/lib. Usually that's as simple as
./configure make make install, but you'd have to check with the
  library docs.

Also, you may need to add /usr/local/lib to the /etc/ld.so.conf file and
  rerun ldconfig.

Sorry its late

Might be, but normally old libs are subsets of new and so function fine.
(unless of course they have been totally rewritten).
