I just bought myself a Dell Axim a couple of weeks ago, and subsequently am thinking of selling both my Palm Vx and Sony Clie PEG-N770C - I've yet to settle on a price :) The Vx has been well-used and has taken a few dings and scratches, but still works perfectly - the Clie is in good condition and again works perfectly. -- _ __/| ___ ___ __ _ When Microsoft Office is your only hammer, \`O_o' / _ \/ -_) // / __/ _ \ pretty much everything begins to look like =(_ _)=/_//_/\__/\_,_/_/ \___/ a nail. I wonder if it's worth setting up a tombstones[1] type page where people who are willing to burn off cds and dvds for people can say so, and what they're willing to work for (beer/materials/costs), and people looking for discs due to narrowband access or whatever can get in touch and say here's beer/materials/costs, can i have $distro on $media. I know I'd be able to do DVD-Rs without *too* much fuss ... I should have mandrake 9.1 delivered tomorrow, a freind downloaded it for me, happy to burn copies if someone send me 3 discs and return postage. -- Phil Deane http://www.MiracleExpress.force9.co.uk ___ Scottish mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/scottish
[Scottish] Acaltel Speedtouch 330 USB
Hi folks A friend wants to try Linux, and I want to convert him :) He has installed Mandrake 9.1 and is using the above modem, but it does not seem to be working, he is living up in Aberdeen, so I can't go round and play :) We installed the drivers, and tried the commands and it says it is connected, but nothing happens, it pretty much freezes his system, he is using Pipex as the ISP, has anyone here got the above modem working under Linux? and can offer any suggestions?
