[sdre-l]: Deftones
I could not see SDRE playing with the Deftones or Far. They would be more out of place I think than with DMB. The only big band I could see them playing with would be Radiohead. Both bands have really good fans that respect the bands, not a bunch of meat heads or idiots. Casey
[sdre-l]: Elliott/Sunny Day
I think the tour that would kick every other tours ass would be Elliott and SDRE they are two of tyhe most amazing live bands and both seem only to get better as time has gone by.-- my 2 cents Jeremiah

A dream show for me would be a Sunny Day Real Estate/Jimmy Eat World tour. Oooohh, that would be amazing! That would be great. I've seen them both and the energy is very similar. The fans would be a great fit. I still think SDRE would fit better with the late Mineral or Promise Ring, but JEW wouldn't find me complaining. On a totally personal note, I'd rather they toured with Jejune. :) -- Bruce Labbate CS Jr cs2330 TA | Some other candy matrimony Georgia Institute of Technology | That strips the night I breathe ... [sdre-l]: Only a thought!
Guys, those bands were only like, a dream tour for me. I'd follow that tour to every show if it ever happened. I know a lot of meatheads like Deftones, but it kind of dawned on me that, especially with the release of the new album, their fans are hardcore fans, they totally appreciate their musicianship and talent, kind of like Radiohead fans. But if I had to choose a good fit for an SDRE opener, let's see: Jets to Brazil, Queens of the Stone Age (they'd bore everybody but me, rock and roll 70s style), Catherine Wheel (another dream), even someone like Rocket From The Crypt! [sdre-l]: live cd and recent tour
hey all, This may be just me, but has anybody who had the good fortune to attend a show of the recent tour been a bit disenchanted by the HIFTBSO tour live cd as a result? I've been listening to it, and though it captured the energy and mood of that tour, the songs on it that were played both tours just don't stack up to how they were played this tour. I guess this is good, it means SDRE had a great time this tourand man did it rock. It just makes me want to pop in one of their studio cd's now whenever I hear a track from the live cd. Hopefully when the hotline server's back up, there will be complete audio from this tour on it...that would be sooo coool. Dan T.
[sdre-l]: How 'bout...
.. Hum, or The Casket Lottery? Good Lord, that'd be amazing.
RE: [sdre-l]: live cd and recent tour
This may be just me, but has anybody who had the good fortune to attend a show of the recent tour been a bit disenchanted by the HIFTBSO tour live cd as a result? i attended the lawrence shows on both legs of the hiftbso tour, and i was incredibly disenchanted by the live cd. that cd is definitely not reprsentative of that tour. I've been listening to it, and though it captured the energy and mood of that tour, the songs on it that were played both tours just don't stack up to how they were played this tour. that's a nice way of saying the live cd (and video) sucks ass. it does. i have listened to it only a handful of times, hoping each time i would pick up on something i had previously missed. each time i played it, it kept getting worse and worse. the cd barely captured their live performance, the sound sucks, the band sounds they didn't even give a shit about the music... it is merely a mediocre album. as for the video... for fuck's sake it doesn't even include days were golden. nice. of course, i guess it doesn't help that i picked up the live portishead album about a week before, and that is a complete masterpiece as far as live albums go. ah, anyway... -j. ** this message brought to you by: jason "d." sheets [EMAIL PROTECTED] http:www.nwmissouri.edu/~s214560 album of the day: proudentall "what's happening here" "that sheets boy... no damn good.
