RE: [sdre-l]: Only a thought!
Hey everyone - i was just checking out the updates from "In The Blue", and it said that SDRE is one of five bands being considered for the opening on the new Radiohead tour! Sure, they would be playing bigger venues, but something tells me that Radiohead fans would be really appreciative of them, and plus, since a lot of peoples 2nd fave band behind SDRE is Radiohead, we'd be killing two birds... you know the rest. Also... i was thinking about SDRE and Radiohead, and a simliarity... you know how annoying it is when the fans scream for seven at their shows... i wonder how long it took Radiohead to beat the whole "Creep" thing? They hardly ever play it anymore, not at all on their recent tour. Maybe SDRE's fan base expanding will take care of those problems, if that happened. Maybe im still jumping the gun. Even with that said, id mark out like a bitch if they played "Song #9". - c.h. __ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup
RE: [sdre-l]: live cd and recent tour
Id have to agree. I mean, it was pretty cool having a live SDRE CD, but i actually got to go to a show on this tour (Carrboro, NC), and picked up a boot from this tour, and it sounds a lot better this time around. By the way, im looking for any other shows from this tour... i have the Seattle one, ive seen another one creeping around somewhere...i know someone has it... :) i have stuff to trade! - ch --Original Message-- From: Daniel Trudell [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: August 16, 2000 9:10:27 PM GMT Subject: [sdre-l]: live cd and recent tour hey all, This may be just me, but has anybody who had the good fortune to attend a show of the recent tour been a bit disenchanted by the HIFTBSO tour live cd as a result? I've been listening to it, and though it captured the energy and mood of that tour, the songs on it that were played both tours just don't stack up to how they were played this tour. I guess this is good, it means SDRE had a great time this tourand man did it rock. It just makes me want to pop in one of their studio cd's now whenever I hear a track from the live cd. Hopefully when the hotline server's back up, there will be complete audio from this tour on it...that would be sooo coool. [sdre-l]: Touring Partners
Sunny Day usually gives a good live show, so they should be put with a good live band. I'd say SDRE, Built to Spill, and Modest Mouse all have a Seattle tour together. Oops... Perhaps there should be a super-reunion; with, like, Mineral, Far, Jejune, Jawbreaker, and the absolutely mandatory reunion success story, Sunny Day Real Estate. I think I had a wet dream along those lines one time. :) -josh.
Re: [sdre-l]: Touring Partners
i think sunny day should take the great independent band hover on their tour. someone lurking on this list knows whereof i speak. you are welcome. hover might even upstage them. still it would be a good show. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: SDRE would be great with a new band called Unified Theory. Really good stuff. There first CD just came out this week. If you haven't heard them, check it out. Just a match I thought would be good (without being total main stream). By the way, I like DMB. I've seen them play with every style imaginable. Their audience is very open and would be a nice way for SDRE to reach the "mass" audience we've been talking about. --ray __ Do You Yahoo!?
