[Sikuli-driver] [Question #680959]: How to configure the environment when excute an executable programe with sikulixapi?

2019-05-20 Thread AliceZhou
New question #680959 on Sikuli:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680959

Hi:
  I wrote a programe with python, the programe invoked the sikulixapi. The
program operated successfully on Ubuntu 16 (linux system). And then I packaged
it with pyinstaller and executed it in another Ubuntu (Linux system with Java
enviroment and skikulixapi). Unfortunately, it failed. The prompt information
was "No Opencv_java usable". Must I configure the opencv step by step according
 to 'Version 1.1.4 - Special for Linux people' first ? Is there any simple way?
Thank you in advance.

[Sikuli-driver] [Question #680957]: Find an image gives error

2019-05-20 Thread Ed Chmiel
New question #680957 on Sikuli:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680957

I am a newbie, and did not find an answer in forums. Using Windows 10 & 1.1.4
IDE, I double click my app icon, and another double click to launch it into the
app where it displays some images.

- I took a screenshot of the app icon, added doubleClick()
- I took another screenshot of the area to double click to launch into the
image display, added doubleClick() there too.

So far so good, launches as expected. Next,

- took a screenshot of the app and saved into the folder.
- next:  match = "C:\SikuliX\pw1.sikuli\1558389881477.png"
- returnMatch = find(match)

The screen capture png is roughly 2500 x 1400, and my screen is ultraHD
(3480x2160). I read in one of the posts to have the screen capture smaller than
the screen.

On the Run, it launches the app, but gives an error.
The error output is:

Am I doing something wrong? I read the info on matching, and this seems like it
should since the images are exactly the same except for resolution.

[Sikuli-driver] [Bug 1829786] [NEW] Sikuli for Windows 2003 Server R2 Edition 32 bit

2019-05-20 Thread Nirmal
Public bug reported:

Hello Raiman,

Good Evening ,

I have windows thick client application installed on "Windows Server 2003 R2
Edition", it supports only java 6 not sure about java 7.I am planning to use
Sikuli to automate and extract data from the old thick client application.

Which version of Sikuli I should download that will run seamlessly on
Windows Server 2003 R2 Edition 32 bit machine ?

As windows 2003 R2 supports till Java 6 and as per stackoverflow many
faced issues installing Java 7 on windows server 2003, so Java 6 32 bit
installation will be sufficient to run old verion of sikuli?

Thanks,

So for the above Robot Framework, it will run everything but the
decimalplaces Test Cases and it will filter the output by "regression",
"smoke", "significantfigures", and "scientificnotation", but will skip
executing the "decimalplaces" Test Cases.

Question #680666 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680666

Melvin Raymond posted a new comment:
OK, I've solved this one on my own. I found some videos by Raghav Pal
out on Automation Step by Step that were very helpful. I was on the
right track with Tags. So if you're using Robot Framework in SikuliX or
even Eclipse, there are Tags and some built in Tags that work to filter
out and sub divide the Robot Framework output. so first of all you can
set a Default Tags in your *** Settings *** area. Then you can set Set
Tags and Remove Tags on each Test Case however you like. See my example
code below where I have done the following:

I used the one below to set a tag for the entire Suite (in the *** Settings ***
area)
Set Default. regression

I used the tags below to set each Test Case to filer or prevent execution (on
each Test Case)
Set Tagssmoke
Set Tags.   decimalplaces
Remove Tags.   decimal places
Set Tags.   significant figures

So, look at Robot Framework below and you can see how they were used.

[Sikuli-driver] [Question #680950]: Script loss, [error] EditorPane: read returned String index out of range: -1

2019-05-20 Thread chloe wong
New question #680950 on Sikuli:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680950

hi!
I recently wrote a script and I save the file before I close sikuli, yet I
cannot open the script when I restart sikuli, it showed: [error] EditorPane:
read returned String index out of range: -1. I can open other downloaded script
written by others except for mine.

I tried reinstalling sikuli but it still doesn't work, the only method to "use"
my script again is to copy the whole script from the HTML file and replace
every single image, which is time-consuming.

Thank you in advance for the help. :)

Chloe

Question #680864 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680864

Status: Open => Answered

read this, to understand the search feature of SikuliX:
https://sikulix-2014.readthedocs.io/en/latest/basicinfo.html#sikulix-how-does-it-find-images-on-the-screen

An image should be found with a similarity score of >0.9 or even better
>0.95

This can be achieved usually by capturing as little surrounding
background as possible and concentrating the image on the key visuals,
that makes it unique.

Using the transparency feature is another way, to make images unique for
use on differing backgrounds or differing content

Question #680728 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680728

Status: Open => Answered

Manfred Hampl proposed the following answer:
If you want to wait for the "waitForMoment" image to disappear, and if this
might take up to an hour, then a wait time of 15 seconds does not really help.
There is an optional second parameter to waitVanish, being the maximum wait
time.
Maybe something like
window.waitVanish(waitForMoment, FOREVER);
works as desired (eventually experiment also with different values for scan
rate, or try TestMechanic's recommendation in comment #2)

How long does it take for the images to appear and disappear, and how does the

Reply: some times it take 30 min some times it take 1 hr

Are they shown at the same time?
Yes In that "screenWithLoading" image contains the loading image
"waitForMoment"

Now im using
CTL_TIMEOUT=15;
getDriver().wait(CTL_TIMEOUT);

im using this above wait times 39 ;( ;(

2019-05-20 Thread Manfred Hampl
Question #680728 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/680728

Status: Open => Answered

Manfred Hampl proposed the following answer:
Maybe a timing issue.

How long does it take for the images to appear and disappear, and how
does the screen look like in the time between?

You wait until "screenWithLoading" appears, and then wait until "waitForMoment"
vanishes.
Are they shown at the same time?
If not, you should first wait until "waitForMoment" appears, and only then wait
for it to vanish, or put a short "sleep" in between to make sure that
"waitForMoment" is really shown on screen.

Another possible error in your script could be that the "waitForMoment"
picture stays on the screen longer than the maximum waiting time (value
of setAutoWaitTimeout(), default 3 seconds).
