I suspect debilitating conditions like clinical depression makes it difficult for some to achieve happiness. It's probably complicated. I think, though, that a good serviceable set of beliefs and attitudes can really help a person pull herself up by the bootstraps. Something like the placebo effect for lifehacking. It works at least in part because you believe you can do it. Amethyst is actually fine but as I said I need to leave early I have evening calls that I need to attend and some have a nasty way of coming in unscheduled Cross I have to bear when I work mostly with teams on the east coast I guess :)
