Hello All,
This is Jaideep Vivekanand from Chennai. Thanks to Udhay for adding me to this 
group. 
I run an architecture firm in Chennai called Green Evolution 
(http://www.greenevolution.in/) with my better half, Anupama Mohanram. We 
specialize in environmentally sustainable design and construction. Anu and I 
have two daughters and cat that make up our home.
I am also a part-time musician - specifically a guitar player - and am part of 
a couple of bands in Chennai. Other interests include running and cooking.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself.  I joined Silklist 
yesterday.  I would like to firstly thank Sumanth Cidambi for the introduction 
and Udhay Shankar for his willingness to include me.  I look forward to 
learning from this forum and growing as a result.
A little bit about myself.  I grew up in Chennai/Mumbai and currently reside in 
Dallas, Texas.  I currently work at Microsoft leading their global risk, 
quality and compliance team.  My educational background is Electrical 
Engineering and Business Administration and my 25 year career so far has been 
entirely in Management/Technology consulting at Ernst & Young, Capgemini and 
Microsoft working with global customers.  I am married with 2 teenage kids.  I 
am an avid cricket/tennis fan and of course like so many others, played during 
my school and college days. My reading interests are around political history, 
foreign policy, global socio-economic changes, brand management, marketing and 
psychology.

Trivia: Jaideep used to play in a band called "Shakuni and the birds of
prey" along with Prasanna, whom some of you know, a few decades ago.

And, for his sins, is a cousin of mine.

Hi everyone,

 

I joined Silklist today, and I wanted to introduce myself.  I'd like to
thank Sumanth and Udhay for introducing me and adding me to Silklist.

 

My name is Ram C. Sekar, and I am based in Chennai.  I am the founder of an
early stage company, Canfan Private Limited, that builds super high
efficiency fans (industrial and domestic) under the Airzon brand
(www.airzon.in  ).  Prior to this, I spent 14 years
with McKinsey in Toronto and Chennai, associated with the Corporate Finance
& Strategy practices serving clients in Metals & Mining and Electricity.
I've also worked at Tata Steel, ICICI and Covanta Energy in finance/business
development roles.Working on areas at the intersection of technology and
policy is my passion, and I'm passionate about energy and water
conservation.  

 

I live with my wife and son in Chennai.  I play tennis and enjoy all racquet
sports.  I enjoy watching documentaries and reading non-fiction.  

 

I look forward to learning from this group, and contributing meaningfully
(hopefully) as well.
