We move this meetup to the 14th? at Windsor Pub? Another thread - not a
drift, mind you - has been happening since evening to this effect. All those
who want Udhay to buy drinks, and juice, converge there for the arm
twisting. :-)

Cheers,

Why not the 13th (anniv) or the 19th (birthday)?

All those who want Udhay to buy drinks, and juice, converge there for the
arm twisting. :-)

How many arms does Udhay have? And can a person with twisted arms pay the
bill?

This Bangalore-centric celebration is exclusionary for the rest of us who
don't have the fortune of living in the Garden City. Such an exclusionary
attitude is anathema on an occasion that is meant for a united celebration.
Hence to foster the spirit of unified celebration, I propose that Udhay buys
drinks for all those in Bangalore and sends booze stamps/vouchers to all the
other silklisters not fortunate enough to be citizens of the Garden City.
I'd like mine redeemable against a friggin' vat of Balvenie, please. Thank

NO For the umpteenth time (last Sunday) , I've had a pineapple juice and
paid for others' Scotches! Vegetarian teetotallers get a very bad deal in
these kind of arrangements.

I think you pay for the pleasure of remaining sober while the others
lose it. The blackmail worthy moments surely make it worth it? :-)

You can only blackmail people who don't want things knownthe black,
brown, and white males never ever say anything in the least interesting or
hide-worthy, so...NOT worth paying!

This Sunday was particularly bad because my small pineapple juice was
Rs.20 at some stall...and then we went somewhere else for those Scotches.
We were in one of those places which put the price in words, not figures,
which (ike large and heavy menus) always means higher prices
