Don't seem to be able to find N Bernsten's original post so will mention it
here.
I have to ask...Why would you be adding baking soda to your brewing process?

I have been spraying CS directly into my eyes for years. Usually when someone
around me has a cold/flu and one particular
occasion when my boss showed up for work with pink eye. Golly that was
weird. Don't know about the baking soda tho.I don't know how the eye
application would apply with that in the mix.Lola

I am considering using CS to dab or wipe the edges of my eyelids which are a
bit irritated by seasonal allergies. I was thinking I would use a couple cotton
balls or pads with CS poured onto them, one for each eye.
Any suggestions, comments or experience with this? Any known contraindications?

baking soda solution and a generator from csprosystems.com)

The old original Listerine (the gold one) has an ingredient called thymol in it
which is anti fungal and has been used as a pesticide. If the CS doesn't work,
maybe very, very carefully use fingersdampened with the Listerine on the
eyebrows? You wouldn't want this getting in your eyes at all..under NO
circumstances. It would probably set your eyes on fire but okay for eyebrows.
I sometimesuse it on my face (carefully avoiding getting it anywhere near my
eyes). Some folks have evenused Listerine in addition to some other things
to help get rid of head lice.Lola https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thymol"Thymol
has been used to successfully control varroa mites and prevent fermentation and
the growth of mold in bee colonies, methods developed by beekeeper R.O.B.
Manley.[27]Thymol is also used as a rapidly degrading, non-persisting
pesticide."[28]

I have a similar problem and asked my DR. She said mites get in the
eyebrows and eye lashes and to run a washcloth over each eyebrow to like scrape
the mites off. I spray my eyes with CS, wait for a few minutes, then wipe
with the washcloth. She said to come back if that doesn't work as there are
some
mite killer medicines.Brickey In a message dated 7/14/2015 9:13:24 P.M. Pacific

First-don't make CS with anything except distilled water.

Then-you can spray the CS directly into the eye. I add a tiny bit of Willard
Water to my CS solution, but it's not necessary. (www.willardswater.com

Re: CS>Mason Jars & Colloidal Silver

2015-07-14 Thread Steve G
Since canning season is upon us, why don't you make a stop at a grocery store
and get a box of those plastic jar lids that are designed for Mason jars.  That
is what I use all the time, and it's a lot more classy than parchment paper or
saran wrap.

Is it OK to store Colloidal Silver in mason jars with those metal lids
that are included?  The flat part of the lid looks like it has a
plasticy type of coating over the metal.  If not, can you put parchment
paper between the jar and lid?  Or, saran wrap?

Thanks

Yes, glass is preferable. I have been using the Perrier sparkling water
glass bottles .. but have a few swing top glass bottles that are good.
Found them at Home Goods. also there is an online line place called
www.specalitybottle.com that has all kinds of glass bottles.

Cleaned it thoroughly and use it. You can also get new plastic jugs at Walmart
for $.99. Saran Wrap under the regular lid probably be fine.

Yes, they are coated so that no bare metal is in contact with anything
in the jar. They should work, just fine.
