Water from a dehumidifier is as dirty as the air it takes the water from..trust me on this one..or better yet don't,just think about it. Many years ago the Detroit News 'in a question answer thing, said it was pure and fine to use...next day a big retraction.... and not on the back page. Think about whats coming out of an U-Sonic 'humidifier' also.... what ever is in the water it is putting out in the vapor...that's why you must use DW in one or end up with mineral dust all over the area.
