I thought I was obvious, but ok. Geforce.com is primarily for Windows
users. These links are also more direct:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/drivers/unix/
https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/drivers/unix/linux-amd64-display-archive/

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/unix/
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/unix/linux-amd64-display-archive/

And the primary support and news location is:

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/board/98/linux/

Yes, that was the announcement for the new beta driver. 435.17-beta
still supports the GT[X] 8xx series GPUs. The cutoff is the GTX 600
series, and my spare cards are older than that. Yours is still "new"!

Hi,

Do you mean changes about dropping support for non-GLVND libraries!

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1060977

My NVIDIA GPU's might be a bit old too, GTX840m.

Cheers

2019-08-15 Thread King Beowulf
Hello all

Nvidia is getting ready to drop non-GLVND libraries. This is my first
pass to refactor the SBo scripts and get ready for 15.0 "real soon now."

430.40 mainly adds support for RTX 2080 Super cards and some minor bug
fixes.

These WILL NOT work on -current, at all, as of yet, since I need to
resolve Mesa library conflicts and any version conflicts with libglvnd
in the driver vs. the version in current. I haven't had time yet to
build a box with current and a Nvidia GPU. All the extra Nvidia GPUs I
have are too old for the 4xx Nvidia driver generation. Come to think of
it, I also need a newer mobo, CPU and memory
