with cups on the client side you don't use a driver you just point it at the remote cups server/printer.

The 5.10 release obsoletes these ISOs, however. :-)

Re: [SLUG] Linux friendly flash mp3 players

A few of the guys at work have these:
 http://eng.iaudio.com/product/product_X5_feature.php

MP3, OGG, FLAC, WMA, WAV player; FM radio; voice, radio or line-in
recorder; MPEG4 (video) player (although its a pretty small screen);
text/image viewer; USB *host* support (so it can pull photos, etc
directly from cameras without an intermediate computer)

This particular one is disk-based (20/30 GB) - they have flash
versions that are smaller (in both size and storage).

From the Linux side, it just looks like a mass storage device that you
copy files onto (no ipod-style index rebuild required). (The web site
specifically mentions Linux and MAC support)

[SLUG] Is there any one in the inner west with a copy of 5.10?

2005-10-22 Thread elliott-brennan

Hi all,

If someone has a copy of this, could burn one please (or give you a
blank CD or two in exchange)?

I've been trying to download it, but...

Turns out it supports my laptop far better :)

e-mail me if you can and I'll give you my number so we can make
arrangements.

Thanks.

Don;t suppose you got an Xorg.0.log from the i810 driver? it'll contain
much needed information...

Ooh errr!

All I got was a blank screen after restarting X.

Good job I'd created a back up.

Any other suggestions?

Secondly, the touchpad (Alps??) will not scroll...

I'm wondering if anyone has a similar machine (or similar hardware) and can
send me a copy of their xorg.conf, or if someone has fixed similar problems.

Thanks for any assistance, redirection or referral offered.

xorg.conf is shown below. What is weird is that the live cd for the first
Ubuntu picked up the video easily.

# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)

#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
