If so then you gave it the wrong device name. [SLUG] Lost + found.
I have a flash drive that will no longer open and shows only a 'Lost + found' file response. I tried opening it as root via the GUI but it says it is empty. Have I lost all my files or is there some way around this? Any help appreciated even if it is bad news. [SLUG] lost+found
hi all I have a bit of a problem.. i ws getting some ext2 errors when mounting one of my partitions and i neglected to do anything then tonite i did an fsck /dev/hda2 i spent about an hours saying yes to fix the thousends of errors and it all seemed to go fine. I then re mounted the partition w/ no errors but i have found that some of my files are missing and that the lost+found directroy is now full of files with numbers.. i am sort of assuming that they contain my lost data.. if so the question is how do i reclaim them. thanks alex _ Do You Yahoo!? Yep, it is called a "Backup"
I recommend tape if you have bulk, or burn a CD if it comes in 600Mb
chunks and only changes occassionally.
