Re: newbie question on install.sh

On my FreeRunner GTA02 A7 install.sh breaks on as I assume debian
stage - more particular line 920 on mkdir /etc with I/O error.

I agree with the other Timo, probably a problem with the SD card. See
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianOnFreeRunner#SDCard - the troubleshooting
section there. I had a 4GB Kingston card which refused to work no
matter what I tried. However, if you are installing Debian from a
distribution that uses 2.6.32 kernel, in addition to other
troubleshooting options you could try installing when running the
other distribution with a 2.6.29 kernel.

Many thanks for the replies!

I have ordered one new high speed micro sd and will try the install
again once arrived...

For the mean time I played around with some of the Debian-based distros
that are providing ready-to-use images and thus trained flashing on
Neo ;-)

(Hackable:1, Neovento QtMoko was tried with success... but what I want
is pure Debian).

Once again many thanks

Greetings from Hamburg

Emil
