[RCSE] Catapulting a 3 m

2000-02-24 Thread John Roe

I use a catapult-like set-up for my 3M planes.
It consists of 50' of red hobby-lobby 1/2" rubber-
DOUBLED and a 25' piece of 200# test monofiliment.
Some of you might have seen me using this at Phoenix.

Check out www.fatlion.com/sailplanes they have a section that address'
the differences of servo connectors from the various manufacturers.

Subject: [RCSE] Servo wiring question

Is the signal line coming from a receiver and going to a servo usually
the
same between different manufactures? For example, can I take a servo
with a
Futaba connector, clip the connector, and attach an "old" style
Airtronics
connector? Of course, I realize that I have to get the ground,
battery, and
signal pins in the right place. In other words, I understand that the
PPM
signal polarity is different for various manufactures but is this
polarity
difference carried all the way to the servos?

[RCSE] Zagi Alternate Covering

2000-02-24 Thread wmaloney

I have recently purchased a Zagi which happened to come with Orange
colored covering tape. Does anyone know of an alternate source for
tape which would have a wide variety of colors, possibly even
fluorescent to replace the original.

Thanks,
