Airtronics sells TX crystals??

This news to me. It used to be their policy to absolutely NOT sell TX
crystals.

[RCSE] Swapping Crystals in Airtronics Frequency Modules

2006-03-26 Thread Ed Jett
I notice that Airtronics sells Rx/Tx crystal sets for aircraft frequencies.
Does this mean that I can just swap the crystal in my module to get the
frequency I need (for Woodcrafters event in May)?

Would I need to send the module in to be tuned?

The Shopatron online store will let me order a module, but it doesn't have
any way to specify the frequency. So, I wonder if you buy a module, do you
also have to buy the crystal separately?

Anybody know about this?

I know if I had a question on Airtronics I would contact George an Jo Joy of
Peak Electronics. They could tell you if you could swap the crystals or you
could get what you need to make things right.

Here is there link http://www.siriuselectronics.com/ give them a

Re: [RCSE] Swapping Crystals in Airtronics Frequency Modules

2006-03-26 Thread Ed Jett

Hi Fred and everyone:

I have modules now for 43 and 54, and need a module for 51. I will follow
your advice and check with Airtronics. I would have just ordered a module
from their website if I could have been sure that I would get what I needed
by ordering a module. Didn't see any way to specify the frequency on the
order, so that's why I asked here.

Thanks to all for their suggestions.

Ed,
Why not check with Airtronics?
