Cirris said its new app, called Cirrus Analytics, is aimed at helping such things as how many events with prospects a sales team had last week; what leads came from Gmail; how effective Salesforce email templates are; and more. Novatel Gets MiFi Win In Canada ---- San Diego-based wireless data hardware provider Novatel Wireless reports a win today in Canada, saying that Manitoba-based telecommunications provider MTS is launching its MiFi 2, 4G LTE mobile hotspot on its network. Financial impact of the deal was not announced. Novatel Wireless said MTS serves 850,000 customers in Manitoba, Canada. Everbridge Enhances Emergency Notifications ---- Glendale-based emergency notification provider Everbridge said Tuesday that it has added enhancements to its suite of products, adding a number of mobile and GIS features to its software. Everbridge said its product now includes new geofencing features; parcel level geo-coding; ability to send alerts via an iPad; and can support on-call scheduling of teams. The company said the updates come as part of its summer release. The company's software is used by companies, the government, university, and others for managing text messaging and phone alerts. RadPad Gets $2M ---- Los Angeles-based mobile rental marketplace app developer Radpad said Tuesday that it has raised $2M in a funding round, which came from existing investors SG VC, L.P., Social Leverage L.P. and Michael Huffington, along with new investors Queensbridge Venture Partners (led by Nasir “Nas” Jones and Anthony Saleh) and Happy Walters (co-president of Relativity Media). The startup, which is led by Jonathan Eppers, develops a mobile rental marketplace which helps renters find a place to live; the app currently has the most listings in Los Angeles, and recently expanded to Chicago and Washington DC, although the company says the app can be used anywhere nationwide. The company claimed the round came after it "turned down two lucrative acquisition offers." http://www.socaltech.com/intelligence/?action=showdeal&id=59150 Ixia Targets 100GbE Development ---- Calabasas-based network testing equipment provider Ixia is targeting 100GbE technology development, saying Tuesday morning that it has added new support for the high speed networking protocol on a number of its products. Ixia said it added the 100GbE support on its Xcellon Multis and Xcellon-Lava portfolio of products. The testing equipment is aimed at network equipment manufacturers, who use the equipment for networking testing and emulation. Technocel Expands In SoCal, Plans Hiring ---- Simi Valley-based Technocel, a developer of mobile accessories--and the parent company of investment company TYLT Lab--has opened up a new headquarters in Simi Valley, and plans to hire approximately 40 new employees, the company said Tuesday. Technocel said its new 60,000 square foot building will accommodate 250 employees in marketing, product development, and sales at its brands, which include TYLT,Random Order, and Jellyfish.
