FYI, I just built 1.12.9, and --enable-ndebug did NOT add -DNDEBUG to the command line. It appears the sac-general.m4 still has the 'x' and enable_expensive_checks still does too. Colin.. Hi there... Yes, I've already sent a patch to fix this but it never got in I'm afraid... I've worked around this by setting CFLAGS manually when I run configure...
