Re: Dealing with CAD files format
When I go through Import FBX / Autocad .dxf all I get is a centered null even from the most simplistic DXF file containing a circle or a box. Does DXF import in Softimage 2014 just NOT work at all? Daniel VFXM

Small Annoying Things to fix in Maya/Max is a forum by autodesk where one can post small bugs or miss-designs to be fixed in those pieces of software. That is what Ales was referring to. ah I get it. Thanks, leonard. Glad to be with softimage, where small annoying things are rather uncommon. Re: Softimage 2015 User Survey
how hard it is to remove MainWin from Linux? If you guys can make Softimage 100% Linux native then you guys can have multiple installation targets, like Houdini.
Re: ICE - polygon grow selection to unfold
OH man, that would be s wonderfulll - its by the way a non commercial project of mine!!! I could pay you in papercrafts cheers Andi 2013/8/15 Chris Chia chris.c...@autodesk.com You would need to use Polygonal Description and Point Position attributes. I think you can write a custom ice node to do some math and output the new pointposition. -- Andreas Schulz Durbusch 42, 51503 Rösrath, Germany tel: +49 2205 85204 cell: +49 2205 173 26 33 893

Architectural shader and environment reflections
Good evening everyone. I've been having an issue with Reflections using the Arch shader and environments that I can't recall coming across before. I haven't been able to repro consistently. Its basically an issue of triangular artifacts showing up in on the surface of the object. In some cases, replacing the arch shader has done the trick, but not every time that the issue has occured. Is this something others have come across? When I try this with simple primitives, things seem to work ok, but I see the problem crop up in my own objects. Workarounds? Adam
