Just tried in SI 2015. Drag and drop install indeed doesn't work, same problems you mention. But at my end "old fashioned" File > Add-on > Install did the trick. Yeah I'm still trying to upgrade to 2015, no luck yet. With 2014sp2 when I drag and drop the .xsiaddon into Soft, it thinks, then gives an error. The shader is available in the render tree, but again gives an error if I drag it from the menu into the render tree. Strange. The MRGeoInfo installs ok. These were downloaded from rray.
