Re: Softimage Alembic Plug-In with Selective Import
Sorry, sent too soon! meant to add that while I can pick scene objects, I can't get them into the import list -- clicking add to import list clears the picker but doesn't add any entries to the list. On Wed, Aug 6, 2014 at 8:59 PM, Ed Manning etmth...@gmail.com wrote: Thanks, Ho. I'm probably doing something wrong, but after installing the components, when I do file=alembic=import alembic... I don't get a PPG that looks like the one in the docs. Most of the PPG components are just missing. I noticed also that the english Dictionary file is 0KB and completely empty of any text. Is this correct? I did try substituting the japanese Dictionary file, and got the proper dialog and was able to navigate, but was still unable to get the importer to attach alembic data to a scene object. Any insights welcome! Re: Softimage Alembic Plug-In with Selective Import
It seems to be a plugin limitation, since I exported an alembic mesh from Bifrost/maya with vorticity and velocity CAVs, if i import it back, the data is still there. The same doesn't apply when i import the same mesh in Softimage. :( On Sat, Jul 5, 2014 at 12:52 AM, Jason S jasonsta...@gmail.com wrote: So this is an in-out Alembic plugin for all SI versions?
