Hi Avi

Thanks for that information. My question then really is, considering that
the information on the github page is out of date, is this something which
wont be with us that much longer? As I dont want to invest too much time on
something which eventually be a dead technology?

Try this instead: 
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E92593_01/E90694/html/swk24-provclisys.html 
 -- 
you'll need to tweak things if you're not using Oracle Linux as the client, but 
otherwise it should work a lot smoother. All the required RPMs are now part of 
the Spacewalk client repos, you don't need to find/install them manually or 
anything like that.
