It's been a long while since I used this, but the port should should be
configurable.

When I set the port to 995 in SpamBayes and leave 'Requires SSL:
YES' in my email client, I get the following error:

Task: Checking
Status: Not Completed
Details: TLS/SSL connection error: A failure in TLS/SSL library occurred.
Try again latter.

Completed: 4 %
Time: 15.10.16 10:39:03 pm

Thank you for your quick reply and trying to help.

[Spambayes] cannot connect to server

2016-10-15 Thread Norman B. Grover
I just downloaded version 1.0.4 of SpamBayes for use under Windows
XP with Pandora as my client.
My University uses gmail as its ISP and gmail's instructions for
its POP servers are 'Requires SSL: YES' and 'Port 995' whereas SpamBayes
appears to use port 110, which corresponds to 'NEVER'.
I tested this with the tray icon (rather than the service) and
could not get a connection. Is there a workaround, or did I just miss
something?
