Ah, thanks Philippe!

Everyone, we will meet for our face-to-face right at the end of the previous
event (now in the new location of Hotel Bedford).

Hi Alexios:

We had to move the venue to Hotel Bedford and this was completed yesterday.
The key reason is we have many more registrations and wanted to make sure we
could have a better spot with comfortable and enough space!

See https://www.hotelbedford.be/en/meetings-and-events/

We will be in the larger Galileo room:
See http://www.immodeposit.com/projects/bedford/panos.html?s=pano1019#pano1019

There are likely many more options there.

Re: [spdx-tech] FOSDEM face-to-face meeting

2024-01-26 Thread Dick Brooks
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the FOSDEM meeting and the paper
I presented didn't make the cut.

One enhancement I hope we can discuss in SPDX is the addition of an element
(external identifier) to identify, to a "Trust Registry" entry. This is
becoming more urgent, now that Apple has announced its intent to have a
"notarization service" for ios apps:

hanges-to-ios-safari-and-activity-7156404038719168512-CVEo?utm_source=share
 _medium=member_desktop

AND

IETF SCITT has released its API draft to retrieve "signed statements" from a
Trust Registry/Transparency Service

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-scitt-scrapi/

Thanks,

Subject: [spdx-tech] FOSDEM face-to-face meeting

Hi all,

We are organizing a face-to-face meeting in Brussels, just before FOSDEM. As
many of us will be there, we thought it would be a great opportunity to
gather and engage in some insightful technical discussions.

Since a number of us will be present at the event organized by Philippe on
Friday, our meeting will take place right after that one, at the same place.

So, mark your calendars for meeting us on Friday 2 February 2024 at 17:00,
at La Tricoterie!

The primary topic of our discussion will be automatically processing the
SPDXv3 RDF ontology to create classes for various programming languages.
This topic aims to explore ways to make implementations of SPDXv3 handling
much easier and efficient.

However, the discussion is not limited to this topic alone. We encourage you
to bring up any other technical subjects that you believe would be of
interest to the group. Your input and expertise would be greatly appreciated
and beneficial to our collective learning.

There is no need to register, or even inform anyone about attending; just
show up!

Looking forward to seeing you there and having an engaging discussion.
