[speedtouch] microcode upload error
Hi, I got the same microcode upload error with linux (RedHat 7.2 using kernel 2.4.7-10) and SpeedTouch as Ken de Veaux got a couple of weeks ago (see archive). I tried the then recommended solution of using the windows file (from my Alcatel CD) ver 1.4.3. But this file and the my linux file (ver 1.3.4) gave the same error. I got the windows file directly from the alcatel CD, so it can't be an FTP error. I used the latest speedtouch driver (version 1.0) from file speedtouch-1_0.tar.gz. I like to fix it before my ADSL is activated tomorrow. Has anybody a solution? [speedtouch] Request for Microcode Checksums
We've had a fair number of reports of upload errors with various microcode's and although I've never had problems myself I thought it would be worth while getting a breakdown of what files existed out there and to see if there is a correlation between microcode versions or if its just USB wierdness. If your microcode checksum is different from whats listed here then please reply with the md5sum of the binary, its filename (mgtmt.o if its from a Linux tarball, alcaudsl.sys if its from windows) and the Alcatel version number attached to tarball/setup. I should of added: and if you have experienced any upload problems (e.g. modem_run failing occasionally) and the percentage scores modem_run gives for identifying the blocks. :-) Alex. Ou puis-je trouver des scripts de reconnexion automatique pour le speedtouch ? ...et aussi éventuellement j'avais entendu parler d'un programme qui mettait à jour l'adresse ip sur dyndns ou du même genre ?? Merci ! pour info: j'ai enfin réussi à me connecter: j'ai laissé tombé la debian qui ne voulait vraiment rien savoir du modem, je me demande si ce n'est pas le hotplug qui me manquait.bref, j'ai installé la suse 7.3, noyau 2.4.10 et ça a marché du premier coup !!!
