And Michael Porter suggested a u-joint.  In fact, I have a bad u-
joint on the right side halfshaft.  It's been bad for a long time and 
will be replaced soon.  The driveshaft was fine when I put the diff 
in a year ago.  In any case, this isn't a u-joint sound.  It's too 
slow and isn't that distinct clicking sound.  It's as if something 
were bouncing on a sheet metal suface.  Like a short-handle 
screwdriver free to roll across the trunk.  Except the trunk doesn't 
have anything like that.  I checked!
